PO-33 "Slowfast"

For this one I used:

Additionally, for the first time, I used effects as part of the final recording. Specifically, I used the unison effects on the PO-33. I think they gave a nice twist to the music.
It took me very long to get this together. It’s not that there was a specific difficulty. I just had a block and wasn’t happy with whatever I was doing. The final result, however, I find quite pleasing :)

PO-33 "Sambe"

This one took a very long time, but not for a good reason. It’s not great overall and the movements at the end are very messy. I simply got stuck making it and wanted to finish.

PO-33 "Chill"

In this track I finally realized how I can use filtering to make new sounds. So the only sample I used here (except for internal PO-33 sounds) is the “Pyro Chords” sound sample from the online preview of the Heisenberg synthesizer (https://www.audiotool.com/product/device/heisenberg/)

The track is very electronic and not so great melodically, but I enjoyed making it a lot and I took my time to enjoy the process.

PO-33 "Filtered Acid"

I didn’t set out to create a Lo-fi kind of track, but after sampling a few sounds and playing around – it’s what came out. One of the most melodic tracks I ever created, and I like it (the few previous ones weren’t so nice on the ears :)

PO-33 "Low"

Not too long ago I got a new music making device called the Synthstrom Deluge (https://synthstrom.com/product/deluge/). It’s a professional portable synthesizer, sampler and sequencer. Or, as I’ve seen it described, it’s a groovebox.

My first track with the Deluge is very basic in the sense that I only used sounds from the internal (and vast) library of sounds. Also, I almost didn’t tweak any sound and just used most of them as is. I think it came out OK.

Deluge "Disillusioned"

In this track I used a "Moog triangle bass" sample from theViktor NV-1 online synth (https://nicroto.github.io/viktor/), and the Flute Trills 3 and 9 (https://www.conversesamplelibrary.com/pack/sean-schulich-flute-jam) from the Converse Sample Library (https://www.conversesamplelibrary.com/)

I started this track a long time ago, but just got around to finishing it. I really wanted to pick better samples for it, but eventually I decided that this will do. Oh, well.

PO-33 "Quirky"

This track is again made only with the internal sounds of the Deluge, but this time I played with them a bit more.

Deluge "Journey"

Using only the internal sounds of the PO-33 and some heavy filtering and pitch shifting, I think this turned out well, although not so melodic at times :)

PO-33 "Beast"

In this track I believe I used an Oboe sample from the VSCO 2 Community Edition sample collection (https://vis.versilstudios.com/vsco-community.html).
