Was is not only a past tense. It is the title of a new release by Go Dugong, the second one out for LebensStrasse.
Since his last EP (Carry A Flag 7”, released in June 2013), the Italian-based producer has worked on numerous remixes, as well as on new tracks, some of which were released as singles on Soundcloud. Others have been included on different mixtapes and compilations.
These five tracks had been put aside in a folder, obscured by newer drafts. However, the material was too good to be disregarded and Go Dugong decides to resume working on it. The result is WAS, a new EP just in time for Christmas. It is the first exclusively digital release by LebensStrasse.
Five tracks which recall Go Dugong’s typical mix of dreamy synths and dope beats, acid samples and ethereal voices (featuring his pals Life & Limb and Welcome Back Sailors).
A release which marks the beginning of a new step for Go Dugong, yet which appears to be absolutely necessary.

uBiK is a solo project by Marco Bonini - avant-jazz trained guitarist, inspired by hypnagogic ambient music. His primary source materials are real time processed field recordings and filtered electric guitars using softwares such as Ableton Live and Max/Msp. Both in studio as well as in live performances, he uses a wide array of guitar sounds to create a highly textural intense music, taking cues from drone, glitch, noise and musique concrete. Bonini’s music reveals his passion for science-fiction and chaos theory. Live shows assume a central part in his creative path, strengthening his abilities as an impro-performer. He has also shared the stage with artists such as Jimi Tenor, Vladislav Delay, Fabio Perletta, Marta de Pascalis. In November 2011 Circadian Rhythm, Sleep Disorder was released via 901 Editions and it achieved enthusiastic reviews. Frostbitten (2014) and The Morning Path (2016) were out, both released on a limited edition tape via the Danish label, Metaphysical Circuits In 2016 he releases via Manyfeetunder “La Città Morta” (The Dead Town), an electro-acoustic study about ghost towns and ancient necropolis based in Lazio, the country surrounding Rome. Basically focused on field recordings - indoors & outdoors - lively converses with the digitally filtered and processed one, resulting in a deep mesh of harmonic explorations and resonances.

The Italian producer Go Dugong and the Venezuelan musician Washé met in Caracas in December 2022. Their meeting was a stroke of fate, bringing together two souls driven by a thirst for the unknown, a desire for the ethereal, and an awareness of the transcendental.
Both artists were creating music inspired by ancient rituals and shamanic chants, but they had never met.
HAPE Collective brought them together, leading to a collaboration in a Caracas studio and a transformative journey into the Amazon Forest, where they challenged each other’s perceptions of nature.

Thus, "MADRE" was born – a tribute to the splendor of nature, conveyed through the universal language of music. The album explores three phases of awakening: dissonance, challenge, and symbiosis, symbolizing the arduous path to achieving unity with nature.

Each phase is marked by contrasts and unique characteristics, inviting us on a journey into the unknown.
