B2BO Mix Series Presents: Dadlib

Dadlib (Josh Carvalho) blew us away with his incredible, debut warm-up set at the 'Tāmaki Dance Revue' (Whammy Bar) last year. This is why we have booked him to do the same at B2BO's next event in May and asked him to provide this amazing mix.

The taste this man has is impeccable. Learnt, built and owned through observation, education and experience. It's quite special and unique and you are always gonna wonder what tune is coming next.

Josh has been present and active in the music scene for some time. Along with the creative collective 'Lowtide', they have hosted events for a huge cast of local and international acts and showcased many amazing art shows and gatherings that stick in our mind to this day.

Fresh off the back of his lifetime achievement award at the 2019 Gilles Peterson Worldwide Awards, IG Culture and the CoOp Selectors Assemble crew are back with a killer new track from London based producer and vocalist Oliver Night. Having established himself as a DJ some 15 years ago, he has built a solid reputation playing across the capital, from the Tate Modern to Boiler Room. His music has been released in the past by the likes of Tony Humphries, Kerri Chandler & Seth Troxler.

This four-tracker illustrates Oliver’s diverse range of influences, from the initial inspiration of his Jamaican uncle, musician Hughie Izachaar (who worked with Lee Scratch Perry & others), through to his passion for London’s broken beat movement. Oliver’s sound epitomises tru-skool UK sound-system ethics; grounded in reggae and dub production sensibilities, whilst built solidly for the bruk and house music dances of today.
