Dispatch Limited welcomes back Ben Soundscape and we've got a premiere of EP title track Desert Swim.  

The EP takes its name from the misheard vocal sample in the title track 'Desert Swim'. Providing a theme and idea to the track, the idea of taking a swim in the sand reminiscent of a trip by camel across the Sahara desert, as seen in the artwork for the release.

Formed of a worldwide, never-before-seen coalition of drum and bass labels taking a stand against racism, Stand Together are very proud to present the inaugural Stand Together LP.

The LP is a joyous explosion of sound; a multi-faceted melding of soundscapes from a diverse and grassroots selection of artists from around the globe. Bringing together artists from the UK, the Netherlands, Mexico, the USA, China, Australia, Korea and so much more it exemplifies what the project is all about; breaking boundaries, building bridges and showcasing excellent music from marginalised communities.

There’s something for everyone and every palate too, whether you like it dark and techy, light and liquid or fathoms deep, you’re catered for here.

A thing of beauty, hope and positivity, the Stand Together LP is much more than the sum of its parts and it is out on April 30th.

After launching to great acclaim, The North Quarter returns for chapter two of its journey: Lenzman's 'Earth Tones EP'.

Consisting of eight new tracks (plus an additional two instrumentals), and featuring a host of collaborators, both old and new, the release carries directly on from the 'All For You EP'. Lenzman once again melds his Hip Hop, Soul and Jazz influences with his take on Drum & Bass to bring together an EP of heartfelt inner city music.

'In My Mind' sees the producer team up with IAMDDB, a Neo Soul singer who is part of a new wave of exciting upcoming artists from Manchester. Her unique voice and disconnection from Drum & Bass gives the two a chance to forge a new direction.

'Earth Tones' sees further collaborations with well-established vocalist Steo on 'Tender Love', and with Metalheadz veteran Jubei on 'Park Hill'. San Franciscan resident and long time collaborator Submorphics joins for 'Bayview', which all come together to give the whole package a beautifully rounded, truly open worldview.

PREMIERE: GLXY - Lonely Ft. Belle Humble (FDs Roll Out Mix)

Calibre is a name known to all in Drum & Bass as one of the pinnacles of the genre. It’s impossible to venture into a club and not hear one of his seminal tracks being played, and with this latest addition to his Innerground repertoire the good times are still coming.

Kicking things off with “Typical Things”, we go back in time to the iconic sounds of the Musique Concrete album. Subdue, one of the UK's finest rising talents, has returned to Riddim Records with some his most elegant work to date. With his unique and stylistic approach to Drum & Bass, 'Dusk', a new four track EP, perpetuates the sound that we at Riddim hold so dear, fusing tech-y rollers, glitchy beats, deep atmospherics and newfangled vocals.

The title track, 'Dusk', is our first stop: progressive euphoria with both incredible warmth and a delicate sound. Deep bass and hypnotic drums bring the vibes.

'When I'm Alone' hangs a sharp left into a dark and tech-y roller with seriously eerie undertones. Subdue goes even deeper with the glitchy 'Reality'. A murky stepper that combines a raunchy lead synth and powerful sub. 

Finally, 'Afraid of You' is the warm glow ending the tunnel, featuring the rich vocals of ES. Kay, one of Riddim's newest signings. A signature ballad to take us home.

It's been nearly a year since Subdue's last Riddim Records feature 'Who Am I' on our VA album in early 2020. He's now returned home, and what a return it is.
