INTERSTELLAR FLIGHT

As we promised, Ellen Allien is back. The BPitch Control boss' latest instalment is the Turn Off Your Mind EP, comprising of two raw, unpolished tracks of pure techno magic produced on a Roland Aira TR-8, TVB 303 and a Jupiter Synth in Ellen's living room. The EP evokes music time travel – most reminiscent of her time spent DJing at E-Wrk, Planet and Tresor in 1990s Berlin. On the A-side sits 'Hoo'. A rolling 8:08 time span of kaleidoscopic acid-soaked patterns and a cyclical bass line, all generous on the reverb. Despite a low tessitura, 'Hoo's moments of euphoria are still palpable. Ellen brings the sheer joy and thrill back to Berlin techno.

29th April is the due date to turn up your speakers and Turn Off Your Mind. Grab it on Beatport a little earlier, from 18th April.

■LANDRを活用したポイント 
自分でマスタリングをしたものと何回か聞き比べたのちアップロードしました。今回はWAV441_16でファイルを作りました。

■その他使用機材やソフト、アピールポイント等
DAWはCubase pro 9を使用しました。

イメージとして、もしFMラジオなどで流れてても必ず歌詞が耳に入るチャンスがあるように歌詞と歌詞の間を詰めて曲を短くしました。

歌詞が「吐く息を〜」から始まるのでブレスの音を若干目立たせ冷たい空気感を演出し暖かさはドラムを生ドラム的な仕上がりにしてみました。

元々の胸キュンな感じをさらに強調できないかと思いBPM128にアップしさらに躍動感をもたせてみました。

ちょいドキっとするポイントを節目節目に入れてみました。
