A Sunday afternoon delight from two of techno's most beloved heavy-hitters arrives exclusively on our Soundcloud.

Berlin techno viking and founder of Dystopian Records Rødhåd and the young, accomplished and Mote-Evolver regular Rene Wise have released their 4 hour set recording from March 2023, a huge B2B session that saw the pair delve in and out of eachother’s company for our last Continuum party. They played an extended set during the final Continuum 24+hour party of the season this Spring. 

The session, which started at 4pm as the tail end of the afternoon drew in and went on til 8pm ahead of a closing set from Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann, proved to be one of our highlights from the event. It's a real treat to be able to share the full recording; smashers from the get-go that takes us through the hard and heavy, to the atmospheric and energetic.

Now in its 200th instalment, this Podcast has given voice to a diverse offering of global talents across the musical spectrum, from the democratic rhythms of zeitgeist appropriate techno and house through to more avant-garde synthwork.

This next guest has cast a large shadow over the technosphere, so large in fact, that no introduction could fully encompass the breadth of his achievements. But in brief: Ben Klock is a titan whose formative years were spent playing marathon mixes to the crowds at Berlin’s (then recently opened) Berghain. Off the back of his endurance sets and the club’s success he became a household name whose influence grew to be felt across the world, with a body of work that includes appearances at an exhaustive list of clubs and festivals, a number of hot releases on Ostgut Ton and an equally respected self-run label (Klockworks) to boot. On this second imprint, his own productions have repeatedly seen the light of day, alongside those from the likes of DVS1, Sterac, Stef Mendesidis and younger talents like Temudo and Vil & Cravo. The sound, ubiquitous as it is, will be familiar to anyone involved in the world of electronic music and there’s good reason for that: Klock’s deep and percussive work and ability to pull from a wide range of influences have earmarked him as a unique agent for the techno cause. Helena Hauff, a former resident DJ at Hamburg's Golden Pudel Club, rose to global prominence with her 2015 album "Discreet Desires." Known for her authentic style and expertly curated DJ sets spanning acid, electro, EBM, and techno, she has headlined major festivals like Sonar and Dekmantel. Hauff’s BBC Essential Mix was named the best of 2017, and her latest album, "Qualm," continues her raw, powerful approach to music.

DJ MELL G emerged through 2020 livestreams, quickly gaining recognition. She launched JUICY GANG RECORDS in 2021 and has since toured globally, blending electro, techno, and breakbeat. Performing at top venues like fabric and Golden Pudel Club, she’s also collaborated with artists like DJ GODFATHER. Her debut LP, "ISSUES," reflects her journey and commitment to mental health awareness in the music industry.
