Night falls dawn

It's been a god awful week and I wanna go
I'd like to go to a show but I end up tuning to my radio
Just got off the phone - off the phone with my manager 
Got fired again, seems I got - a lot a lot a’time on my hands now

I put an old record on just to get the blues out
It's been 5 fucken' years since I started out-I still have my doubts baby
In the back of the room Tom's singin' 'bout a Christmas card-and I know
Life can get pretty rough when what you have is never enough

And I know there's really nothing wrong with me, just a couple of screws going out of my head
Tom never did promise me the jailhouse key, I guess the only way out of here is when I'm dead

So I'm thinking- I'm thinking why thinking try thinking I'll get by
Maybe I'll give it another year
It's a hard road who's afraid to be taken, so she makes it hard for you all the way up. 
At first you try and then you cry. Some get up - the others die
In this dog eat dog world it's not quite "live and let die"
Survival to the fittest. Will I?
