I'm housesitting for my neighbors, and they have a grand piano, and I sat down on it and this happened.

I'm thinking I'm gonna do more of these sometime, they're fun to do, and it means I don't have to worry so much about coming up with a melody of my own (as far as I'm concerned, that's the hardest part of "pure" improvisation).

Improvisation on Kefka's Theme

I haven't been including this information in my descriptions, lately, so here it all is! I'm performing a short show tomorrow at 6:30PM at the Mad Frog in Clifton, near UC. I think it's going to be a pretty good show! I'll try to get a recording of it on here and Bandcamp, but if not, be sure to be there, I guess!

In other news, I just learned that it's really hard to talk and play piano at the same time. How do people manage it?

I did this just now for fun. It's the two motifs from "Tracking" and "Before You Go," from Metalocalypse: The Doomstar Requiem. All credit goes to Adult Swim and Brendon Small for coming up with these themes.

Both those songs I mentioned use the same to motifs, in the same order. They fit well into contrapuntal music, as it turns out, and I had a good time playing this.
