"Lost, Not Gone" is an emotional journey in three chapters, moving through fragility, inner blocks, and ultimately, release.
The EP was born from a personal need for clarity — a desire to observe my own shadows without filters, but with honest awareness.
Each track reflects a distinct moment in this process: from the effort of standing back up, to the acceptance of pain, and finally, a form of conscious distance and calm.
The sound blends melodic house, emotional minimalism, and cinematic elements, always leaving space for reflection.
This is music meant to be truly listened to — more than just club material, it’s meant to accompany those on an inner journey.

"Still Trying" speaks of the struggle to rise again, always.
Even when negative thoughts hold us back, even when giving up feels easier than moving forward.
This track is an act of emotional resilience, but not a forced celebration of positivity — it acknowledges how difficult it is to keep trying.
It’s like apologizing to yourself for the times you let those thoughts win, while promising to try again anyway.

"To No One" is a silent dedication to myself.
It comes from the need to accept a difficult truth: we can’t change how others behave, even when it hurts us.
The track is built on an emotional loop, intentionally repetitive, representing a persistent pain — but also the strength that grows from self-compassion.
Gentle shifts in harmony act as small gestures of encouragement I give to myself.
It’s not a resolution, but an act of inner resistance.

"Out of Self" is a journey beyond the self — a detached look at one’s own experience.
Creating distance from negative thoughts can become a form of liberation, a way to regain clarity and reconnect with what still feels good.
It’s not about denying pain, but about choosing not to stay trapped in it.

MBR413 trails the watercourse choreographed by Italy-born and Melbourne-based
DJ/Producer, Leo Guardo and narrated by three eloquent African vocalists. Interfusing
innovative techno elements with deep house soulfulness and tribal groove, Big Fish ruptures
into turbulent waters, basking in the invigorating currents of sonic tides. On A-Side,
Bayamememza starts off with an inquisitive build up, growing more tense as coarse percussion
amass friction. Outpouring grief and empathy into a poignant aria, Tabia’s heartfelt invocation
peals aloft tribal elements, grasping on to the groundedness of house and casting hope in
euphoric melodies. A winsome bassline rolling through subtle inclines and climaxes cradles
Andiswa’s soul-riveting vocals in Sebenza. Compelling lyrics that express the value of
perseverance are the force stretching the 6:58 minute track taut, upending the pendulum of
triumphs and setbacks through ethnic soundscapes and synthetic swells. Wrapping up the
saga, Adile Mbili expels gut-felt exhilaration in an homage to the goddess of fertility and the rain
ritual in her honor. Softening nuanced percussion with tender piano notes, Wenomkhubulwane
gently rides on earthy instrumentals, locking place in locomotive groove. But it doesn’t think
twice, hopping on euphoric harmonies at the right chords up, to escalate into sublime
dimensions.

Everything Counts takes us on a deep-seated journey to the western coast of Africa. The coastal village
of Mbodiene is at the core and fora of this picturesque three-part series, started off by the Swiss duo’s
original mix. Half Toshka, half Chris Leon, Everything Counts render quixotic soundscapes, combining
Afro-infused rhythms, earthy percussion and tribal soul into electronic ambience, by grace of melody.
Calabria’s Matt Sawyers joins us and his longtime friends with a reinterpretation of Mbodiene. Teeming
with ethnic dreaminess and soothing progressions, Matteo Cacciola’s mix is a halcyon escape to indulge
our sonic reveries. Yielding a brusque, fiery take on the original, Mozambique’s Double Drop wraps up
MBR418 with a rawer Mbodiene - warm, impassioned and rooted in the rich, resonant grounding of our
mother continent. In this 20:54 minute flight, we dance our way to the destination, and alas, we can just
keep going there.
