Filippos returns to Human By Default for a sublime pair of subversive house sounds.

Greek trailblazer Filippos has released his stylish sounds on this label in the form of previous tracks like 'After Why'. His music aims to speak directly to listeners, and he mixes up odd sounds and unique drum designs with plenty of contemporary style, all with plenty of fresh melodies.

The opener 'Stray Man' has a taught and tight bass loop that props up the thunderous claps as tender vocal whispers bring the soul. Urgent synths up the edginess of the groove and ensure the dance ﬂoor will remain ﬁrmly on its toes. Then comes 'Places & Faces', another moody house cut with dark energy and snappy, militant snares. Balmy pads swirl up top, and angelic vocals at the breakdown mean this is another captivating and standout track.

This tracks is a collaboration between Stylo & Space Motion inspired with an iconic track by Salif Keita called Madan. Later, that song was remixed by Martin Solveig too. That remix made gain much success and become one of the biggest hits of him. We got approvement from Salif Keita to bring you this official remix with a different style and fresh sounds in two versions. One is rave version and the other is more groovy sound. Both versions were supported by the biggest artist such as Solomon, Black Coffee, Magdalena and many more. In last Months they have been played in the biggest parties.

Sol Selectas presents the first solo EP from Israeli artist Laroz, who has previously been featured on the Summer Sol compilation series. 
Laroz's genuine passion for African music inspired this EP, which is a fusion of traditional ethnic rhythms and organic house beats. “Miombo” refers to the woodlands which cover several portions of the South-Central African Plateau, and the enchanting vocals naturally combine with the raw electronic groove. 'Laganga' features the amazing vocals of Faytinga, an Eritrean artist. The deep house chords marry perfectly with her emotional vocals, and we can feel the passion of both artists transmitted through the song. For the remix of “Miombo”, we welcome Sam Shure from Berlin for his first time on the label. Sam delivers a peak-time afro tech gem, focusing his sites on the tribal drums, creating a mind-blowing rendition complete with a breakdown which is pure psychedelic madness. On “Laganga”, we invited our dear friend Rodrigo Gallardo (formerly of Matanza) from Chile, to remix this heart-opening tune. Rodrigo delivers a gorgeous downtempo interpretation, skilfully finessing the vocals of Faytinga, adding a live marimba groove, and as well some subtle modular effects. His remix maintains all the emotion and beauty of the original, and rounds out the release package nicely with a soothing alternative for listeners to enjoy. The artwork by Helia Jamali is a union of the lush African nature and the cultural creativity of its beautiful people.
