Psychedelic soul artist Godfrey At Large has announced his first single “Wireless” will be released on Juneteenth.

Ahead of an official debut, Godfrey has already accomplished various feats ranging from securing a song placement in a feature film from Academy Award winner Matthew Cherry to performing at Coachella as a featured vocalist.

The single, marking an official foray into Godfrey’s nuanced sound, offers a melodic expression of freedom echoing the enlightenment the holiday commemorates. Its intentional release seeks to offer a unique message of freedom in a season where Black oppression is at a global forefront.

“Wireless is about personal freedoms,” said Godfrey. “It’s about detaching ourselves from the constraints of society and culture. Like Juneteenth, ‘Wireless’ at its core celebrates our liberated humanity.”

Godfrey At Large is an experimental Gospel music artist that blends the unique sound of our human experience with a rich tapestry of soul, psychedelia & jazz fusion – creating a world that exists parallel to both our faith and our fantasies.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Godfrey’s music was nurtured by a rich, diverse body of sounds, ranging from Marvin Gaye to Mars Volta.
