Kronik is one of the co-founder's of Germany's best known drum and bass nights, Tiefklang. He's blessed the decks for the Humanoid podcast and delivered a special mix showcasing his influences which bought him into drum and bass in the beginning. This month's podcast episode will take you back in time: We are thrilled to share a live cut from "CaDo" (@cado-dnb), recorded at one of our Bass Forward The Revolution nights at the Gängeviertel in September 2018.

Being accompanied by music for all his life, Rostock based "CaDo" is always searching for new styles and influences. Even if his focus as a DJ lies on drum and bass, his interest to discover new musical horizons has no limit, whether it's rock, classical or different styles of electronic music. It's no surprise that this mindest also reflects in his DJ sets, which can cover the whole spectrum of subgenres that drum and bass has to offer.

This live cut from "CaDo" shows the rough side of his musical repertoire. Be prepared for 90 minutes of forward rolling dark drum and bass!

Throttler (@throttler) is dark drum & bass producer from Greece. Mostly produces a mixture of dark, hard and fast, constantly alternating music, made of notorious landscapes and techy dancefloor breakbeat treatment. Selini (@selinimusic) is a Greek Dj and forthcoming Drum n Bass producer. With full training in classical and modern piano and composition, her musical journey started after she graduated form the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK. Shortly after that, she began dabbling in electronic music while studying at the School of Audio Engineering (SAE Athens) and built a home rec studio where her love for Drum n Bass production was complete. As a DJ, she has played some of the best venues in her hometown alongside famous names in the industry. Her first official release is a collaboration Podcast with Greek DnB producer, Throttler and we are soon to discover her own forthcoming releases. Stay tuned.

The 2017 seminal album from Goldie 'The Journey Man' is about to receive the remix treatment with Goldie himself having invited a host of artists to express their take on his third studio album. Described as Goldie's 'magnum opus' and his legacy LP, this reworks package breathes new life into an already incredible body of work. Drawing in both established names and those dipping outside of the drum & bass sphere, it's given a different dimension with every unique offering.
With names like Digital & Spirit leading the charge, paying homage to the late Spirit's heritage whilst bringing Digital's authority into the mix for 'I Think of You', the standards are already set in that first cut. Later contributions on part 1 come from names like Zero T, Jon Dixon, Phase, Artificial Intelligence, Mako, DieMantle, Mathew Jonson and Subjective (Goldie and James Davidson).
Meanwhile, part 2 draws first for the chaotic tones of Grey Code, juxtaposed by the work of Calibre, then followed by the likes of Jubei, Jon Dixon ft. Mike Banks, DieMantle again (this time with a faster version), Total Science, Dom & Roland, Jay Clarke and Lenzman. From beginning to end, there's an incredible array of talent.
'The Journey Man Remixes' draws for artists who have made their impact on Metalheadz and those who are currently grafting their places within the wider electronic scene, portraying the abundance of influences and tastes of Goldie.
