Goeran Meyer's 'Alone With My Thoughts' is another fresh EP that continues his exceptional recent run.

The assured German producer and MYR label head always brings a touch of class to his music. He's an audio sculptor with a cinematic sound and a knack for meaningful melody. He's been busy of late with a superb string of singles that continues again here.

First up is 'Complete Control' which soothes the soul with its lush and languid synth lines rising and falling over streamlined beats. It's a track to get lost in and gaze off to the distance as the melancholic moods take over. The superb 'Observe' is more glitchy and textured, with undulating bass and distant starry twinkles run through with more intense synth lines that bring subtle tension in a futuristic fashion.

'Mindset' (Instrumental Edit) is another brilliantly deep thinking track with carefully sequenced arps and wispy pads dancing around a sparse pattern of off-grid drums. It's an immersive and cinematic experience which then also comes as a Vocal Edit. This version takes off on metallic tech house drums and is overlaid with a spoken word monologue that evokes thoughts of space travel next to intricate and delicate acid lines.

Meyer shows his class yet again with this Alone With My Thoughts EP.

Independent music label MYR proudly announces the release of the third EP of 2023: "Shadows of the Night", is another release from versatile artist, DJ, producer and live act Goeran Meyer. Following his impressive releases "Alone with my Thoughts" and "Random Hill", Goeran once again takes us on a profound and driving journey through his creative musical world. The EP includes three amazing mixes: a vocal mix, an instrumental mix and a vocal edit by Mario Navajo.

The journey through "Shadows of the Night" begins slowly and mysteriously with a percussive intro consisting of finely tuned drum settings. After some breathtaking breaks, paired with stirring African vocals, the track gradually builds up into an analogue sound piece. This is where the varied synthesizer and arpeggio build-ups kick in, giving the track an energetic and driving character. The pads and basslines blend together perfectly and lead the listener through a variety of moods. Finally, the track opens up and unfolds a mix of deepness and energy that sweeps the listener along and encourages them to dance.

The collaboration with Mario Navajo makes this release an amazing overall package. Together, the two artists created a remix in a friend's studio called Limetree Studios that features unique sound structures and Mario's engaging vocals. This remix rounds off the EP perfectly and makes you want more.

"Shadows of the Night" is an EP that takes us on a journey through different moods while maintaining its deep and driving character. This release is a refreshing and welcome change of pace that is perfect for the summer months and will leave you wanting more energetic music.

“As a DJ you have to swing, because life swings“

This has been the lifelong mantra of the talented Czech artist Oldrich Sic Jr. A true citizen of the world his love for music and the ever-growing need for more knowledge has led him to many countries inspiring him on deeper levels as he soaked up the culture, rhythms and musical insight from places such as Germany, Ireland, Thailand, Liechenstein, Slovakia and his home the Czech Republic.
His love for house and techno emerged at the tender age of 15 when listening to world class DJ mixes and guests on his favourite radio station FM4.

It wasn’t long after that Oldrich found himself behind the decks of his very first gig playing at iconic venues such as Zona Club and Gogo Club based in Znojmo. This would only create a stronger sense of discovery for the Czech artist as his passion for more knowledge to make timeless, influential music continued to push him forward. His experience and confidence began soar and he wanted more, play more venues, see more of the world to showcase his relentless passion for amazing music and this approach helped in turn securing quality gigs and playing highly profiled German venues such as Kerosin, Capitol, Parklounge and the infamous Liquid. Residencies at the time included Mahagoni and Pantheon.

The appreciation for timeless music and quality artists has led Oldrich down a road of immense success. The ability to recognise world class talent allows him to collaborate with other artists who are also passionately pursuing their musical dream. This led him to developing the platform called The Prague Electric where Czech artists are giving the opportunity to showcase their skills within Germany which is considered the electronic capital of the World. This series of events has already seen some of the Czech Republic’s most highly profiled talent including Josef Sedlon, Ladida, DJ Loutka and DJ Trava grace the decks. The summer of 2007 would see Oldrich holding residency at one of Russia`s most notorious clubs based in the city of Chabarowsk, Hospital. Using this as a base of operations he moved around Austria often playing in venues famous for their electronic sound such as Flex Club in Vienna.

Oldrich`s key music styles include minimal house, tech house and electro, creating a fusion of musical ideas commonly referred to by the artist as “dub house techno”.

Influences from his early days see him draw inspiration from industry heavyweights like Gui Borrato, Ame or his close friend and mentor Martin Eyerer. A huge resource of invaluable information to Oldrich. He spends some time in Martin’s home studio (Riverside Studios Berlin) perfecting his skills as he continues his journey in acquiring as much information and knowledge from the electronic world as possible.

2017 would be see a huge mile stone reached as Oldrich would receive the opportunity to play on the radio station he admired for years as a young boy with enormous dreams. The radio station FM4 would showcase a DJ mix by Oldrich as well allow him to perform a “live” set followed by a comprehensive interview during which he presented his latest track “To Sense” which was subsequently released off British label, Recolucion Records.

In the beginning of the 80’s ALMA. was to see the light of the day. Born and raised in a family of artists she discovered early her touch for creativity and the diversity of sound.

Infected by her own creative urge it was not to be the last journey to musical fields. Influenced by Michael Jackson, Prince & Co, ALMA. discovered the electro dance music in the middle of the 90’s.
Fascinated by this new world she went to an innumerable number of events and gigs and was soon to rock the best raves as bartender, with more to come.

Besides her greatest love, the music, also fashion plays an elementary role in Alma’s life. As graduated fashion journalist she has sublimated yet several shootings and music videos with her style.
After some trendy journeys and style councils ALMA. was attracted back to the dance floor. Clubs like the legendary „Kraftwerk“ or the green room of the cosy „Flokati“ shaped the thrilled Miss Dynamic from a musical perspective. The desire to make her own music was started through her friends that were part of the DJ scene. 

The enthusiasm grew and so she decided to turn her fascination for music into reality. With discipline and persistence she soon knew how to play the decks. Every Euro was invested in the black gold (vinyl). Meanwhile the blonde vamp owns a good sized and well assorted collection of discs.

Encouraged by her technical skills and creative being ALMA. soon was to ascend the dj pulpit.

With her own best harmonic style ALMA. fascinated both the organiser and the audience at her first gig at The Garden Club Munich. There she was Resident-DJ until closing 2010. After The Garden she was Resident-DJ at Munich’s fast rising Club “Chaca Chaca” (closed since May 2012) and she had her own monthly night called “GOLDREGEN” with national and international underground bookings. Gigs around Germany, Austria and Swiss are now her weekend-business. Rave on Snow, Thaibreak and other festivals welcome her year by year...

In 2015 she started her Residency at Munich’s well known club HARRY KLEIN. From 2015 until 2016 she hosted a two month regular party called: “ain’t no romance like goldance” at “Die Registratur”
    
2016 she changed her so far known DJ-name Alma Gold in ALMA.
Her first release “Fuzzy Dream” has been signed on Lany Records (digital) in Spring 2011. The second “Diving Bell” has been published on Beatwax (vinyl and digital) October 2011. Since 2016 she was back in the studio and soon there came the results – October 2017 the EP „Important Thing“, she produced together with Oana Leca including a dubby RMX from Guido Schneider had it’s release on Enough Music!

Sydney-born DJ Scotty Cal is a self-confessed lover of all things house & techno and has spent the last few years cultivating his own unique sound at various venues and parties around Australia, before making the move to Bali to further expand his career on the international platform.

It began with his early days on the decks at Shore Club in Manly and since Scotty Cal has fast become a sought-after DJ, playing at the world’s biggest electronic music festivals such as Ultra (Resistance) as well as boutique events along the likes of Knee Deep in Sydney & Circo Loco (Aus). He currently resides in Bali where he is a regular on the music scene, playing gigs at Single Fin, Jenja, Mrs. Sippy, Red Ruby, Da Maria, Ulu Cliffhouse and DC 10 inspired aeroplane bunker Gate 88.

When Scotty Cal takes to the decks, the dancefloor quickly fills and doesn’t stop, fuelled by his crowd-pleasing formula of ever-present basslines mixed with everything from deep, rolling house sounds to addictive melodic house grooves. Having already joined the ranks of Ultra’s Resistance DJs and supported numerous world class acts like YOUSEF, Hot Since 82, Patrick Topping, Marc Romboy, Loco Dice, Doorly, Franky Rizardo, Claptone, , Popof, Late Night Tuff Guy, Emanuel Satie, Christoph, Butch, Ben UFO, Seth Trawler, Scotty Cal has established himself as a hot talent in the house & Techno music world.

Scotty Cal has recently seen his debut original solo production ‘Mothership’ reach #17 on the ARIA club charts, signed his collaborative deep house track ‘Kumculo’ with Kaiser Waldon to Oscar P’s label Heavy, and has his much awaited EP in the making.
Working as a co-partner at Escape Presents alongside renowned DJ and producer Kaiser Waldon, the duo has successfully taken their brand, originally based in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, and established an “Escape to Bali” concept on the island, throwing the most south after house and techno parties every month at various locations from Uluwatu to Seminyak and currently hold a successful partnership with beachfront venue La Brisa.

Dj ́s & producers Iván Lejardi and David Casas have merged their aural universes with their duo “Da Le (Havana)”, a collaboration that blends powerful electronics with the wealth of traditional and Afro-Cuban music.

Fresh from the producers labs, Da Le (Havana) rhythmic experiment has been put to the test at Havana ́s most in-demand venues, such as Fabrica De Arte Cubano (FAC), Havana World Music Fest, and Eyeife Fest among others.
Here their sound recipe hints at an evolution in the Cuban electronic music scene, traversing local frontiers and seting up an identity amongst the international circuit.

Both artists are finding in the past and present of their Cuban roots the very substance of what has made the island a true cultural hub for years. “Da Le (Havana)” is borne to the world by the strength of Cuban musical traditions and the producer ́s will to uphold this heritage from their unique experience within electronic music, commitied to the contemporary scene; styles like Afro-House, Deep House and Afro-Beat are naturally found in their repertoire.

Sharing stage and collaborations with world-class Cuban artists include Julito Padrón, Rodney Barreto, Dayramir González, X Alfonso, Síntesis, Edesio Alejandro and also alongside top-billed international stars such as Luciano, John Acquaviva, Dj Koze, The Knocks, Dj Tennis, Darksidevinyl and Zen Freeman.
Their productions have been picked up by renowned labels such as Stereo Productions, Redolent, Wired, Deep Root Tribe and Celsius Degree Records.

“Da Le (Havana)” makes it clear that have just begun to get their machines revved up and offers a peek at what may well be the new future of Cuban electronic music.

Grammy Award nominated DJ/Producer Todd Terry has been engulfed in dance music since he first started listening to European dance music records while growing up in Brooklyn. Already devoted to turntables, he heard something different in those tracks, and he “went for the difference. I never got a break in New York, but England happened right away, so I catered to them.” In any event, the Todd Terry sound was born.

In the mid 90’s, the Ministry of Sound’s eponymous UK label released A Day In The Life, a collection of Todd Terry tracks that had been causing dance floor panic. That then led the way to a deal with Mercury Records allowing him to set up a context in which to work with his favourite singers and performers. The first release, Keep On Jumpin’ on featured a vocal workout from super-divas Martha Wash and Jocelyn Brown, together for the first time ever. From SNAP to Annie Lennox to George Michael to Bjork, Todd’s mixes bridge the ground between club cool and commercial accessibility. In 1995, his remix for Everything But The Girl’s Missing became a worldwide smash, giving the British duo their first ever hit. He then rode the charts with mixes for Garbage (Stupid Girl), The Cardigans (Love Fool), Everything But The Girl (Wrong), 10,000 Maniacs (More Than This), Jamiroquai (Alright), The Cardigans (Been It), and The Lightning Seeds (You Showed Me),.among others. He also produced a Robin S track (Givin’ You All That I’ve Got) for the multi-platinum Space Jam soundtrack.

Goeran Meyer's 'Alone With My Thoughts' is another fresh EP that continues his exceptional recent run.

The assured German producer and MYR label head always brings a touch of class to his music. He's an audio sculptor with a cinematic sound and a knack for meaningful melody. He's been busy of late with a superb string of singles that continues again here.

First up is 'Complete Control' which soothes the soul with its lush and languid synth lines rising and falling over streamlined beats. It's a track to get lost in and gaze off to the distance as the melancholic moods take over. The superb 'Observe' is more glitchy and textured, with undulating bass and distant starry twinkles run through with more intense synth lines that bring subtle tension in a futuristic fashion.

'Mindset' (Instrumental Edit) is another brilliantly deep thinking track with carefully sequenced arps and wispy pads dancing around a sparse pattern of off-grid drums. It's an immersive and cinematic experience which then also comes as a Vocal Edit. This version takes off on metallic tech house drums and is overlaid with a spoken word monologue that evokes thoughts of space travel next to intricate and delicate acid lines.

Meyer shows his class yet again with this Alone With My Thoughts EP.
