Macroterra Records presents the new EP: Solar System — a collaboration between Alessio Greco and A.Pomposo.

Solar System EP marks the ninth release from the label and offers a unique journey through electronic music, blending elements of electroacoustic musique concrète, experimental soundscapes, and ambient field recordings.

The project originated from an idea by Alessio Greco — Italian electroacoustic composer, sound designer, and visual artist. The music is conceived as part of an immersive sound installation designed to accompany a visual work, resulting in a truly audio-visual experience.

Conceived and composed as a concept album, the tracks were later deconstructed and reinterpreted in the signature style of Macroterra Records. Thanks to Pomposo’s remixes, the project is propelled into the realm of Electro and Techno, transforming the experimental source material into a bold, floor-oriented experience for the most discerning listeners.

Macroterra Records continues to embrace new collaborations, where experimental sounds merge with the evolving frontiers of Electro and Techno through remixes and innovative interpretations of contemporary electronic music.

Born in Greece, Pasiphae took up DJing and music production when she moved to the Netherlands five years ago. By 2016, she was confident enough to hold her own in the studio with Intergalactic Gary, with the resulting collaborative 12”, Made of Glass, winning praise for its floor-rocking rhythms and throbbing electronic instrumentation.

The Siphax EP, her first solo outing, is arguably even more solid. Packed with mutant alien funk (the superb title track), horror-fired dancefloor dystopia (throbbing opener “Tachynons”) and skewed electronic soundscapes (“Vertical Rotation”, which sounds like it could have been taken from the soundtrack of an early ‘80s art-house movie), the six tracks offer a neat summary of Pasiphae’s unique musical world.

Check out, in particular, the two-part murkiness and late night hum of “Quelque Chose De Mauvais” and “Quelque Chose De Mal”, which are creepy and clandestine in equal measure. If that’s not enough to set the pulse racing, turn your attention to EP closer “Hedera”, a beat-less but rhythmic romp through muggy, psychedelic pastures

The traffic was busy and cars were stuck upon the freeway with no place to go. They had been there for hours, not moving amidst the outback of the desert as the city lights flickered and glimmered in the distance. The congestion was terrible. 

Sat in his old Mayback he smoked a cigarette and thought back to a time when this place was empty and barren - nobody used to love out here and those that did were involved in all kinds of trouble. Congestion had been the last of his worries in another life. The warm leather seat absorbed his body as he leant back and blew smoke upwards into the night sky through the window. He might be here for a while...

It's always a great day when we get a new Frak EP in the mail. Consistent and fiesty as ever the group have just delivered a three track EP for Go Finger - hard hitting acid cuts with a purpose. It bangs.

It's time for celebration ! As the Worst Records adventure goes on and on, let's take a moment for a multiverse reunion in the form of our first Greatest Hits compilation. This imaginary space is the meeting point between some figures of our hometown and others from outer lands.

You will cross the paths of the authors of the first three releases of the label, namely A Strange Wedding, Christian Coiffure and Jacques Satre (also delivering a mind-warping session under Babiah 8000 alongside Saint-Etienne's activist Farkoner). You'll also hear from Del.Duc & Basic, members of the Positive Education crew. As special guests, we wanted to put some highlights on intriguing faces such as Itako, Gil.Barte and Tassilo Vanhoefen, providing there slow-motion, heavy dream-powered tunes in the style we adore so much. Beesmunt Soundsystem and Black Seed bring up some notable contributions from outside of France, whether it is for a raindance session or a tribal expedition. 
How to sum up this whole vortex of trippy blocks of sound ? Our dear friend Eiger Drums Propaganda has the answer in the opening track : some strange things happen in this city... and this city is Saint Etienne. This being said in a malicious voice, of course.
