The Weavers of Heaven: The Song of Fuxi and Nüwa
At the dawn of the world, when the sky did not yet know its height and the earth did not know its depth, two beings emerged from the primordial chaos: Fuxi, the wise weaver of patterns, and Nüwa, the mother of form and harmony.
Both had human faces and serpent bodies, symbols of the union between the earthly and the divine. They were born siblings, but their bond transcended blood: they were the two halves of cosmic consciousness, yin and yang dancing in balance.
The Broken Earth
One day, the sky trembled and shattered. The heavenly waters began to fall endlessly, and the world descended into chaos. Mountains collapsed, rivers overflowed, and humans, newly born from the mud, cried out for help.
Nüwa, with her heart of compassion, gathered seven-colored stones and fused them with heavenly fire. With them, he repaired the sky, stitching it together with threads of light. Where once there had been cracks, now constellations shone.
The Order of Fuxi
While Nüwa restored the sky, Fuxi descended among the humans. He taught them to fish, to hunt, to write with signs, and to read the secrets of the universe in the trigrams of the I Ching. He invented the zither so humans could sing their sorrows and joys, and he drew the first maps of the soul.
The Cosmic Marriage
Seeing that the world was in balance, Fuxi and Nüwa joined in a sacred rite. Not as lovers, but as architects of destiny. Their union sealed the pact between heaven and earth, between chaos and order. Since then, whenever the world falters, their spirits awaken in the hearts of the creators, the dreamers, those who repair the broken and teach the forgotten.
