The imprisonment of Navalny is no less important than that of Assange. Both are the result of incompetent and atrocious individuals who control our freedoms as they wish. It doesn't matter where they live or where they are imprisoned. They have been deprived of their freedom by humans, and since Navalny has already paid the ultimate price, it presents an opportunity for the rest of us to prevent Assange from experiencing the same fate. Sorry, although I much admire your dedication to the human cause, wrong is wrong, and as Marshal McLuhan said some time ago, "The world is a global village and what happens in one part of the world affects all the parts" , or something to that effect. Imprisonment in Russia is no less an issue than imprisonment anywhere else.

To the poster below who compared NavaIny to Assange: How can you even compare them? The one exposed the dirty works and lies of ClA/US/UK and the other one was basically their asset, hence the MSM will make him into someone he was not and any negative info about his past is being removed from search results. Just compare their fawning coverage and fast coordinated response to their silence on, or even support for, the ongoing persecution of Assange. Or their complete silence on the mistreatment and death of US citizen GonzaIo Lira in Ukrainian custody. Or of journalists Yuri Tkachev and Pablo Gonzalez and reporter Andrea Rocchelli. Were their families invited to Munich to give a speech? What about PaIestinian political prisoners? Imran Khan? After all the crocodile tears they held a party, all smiles, what a joke!
