A recent article in The Guardian parroted a US state-funded group's evidence-free allegations that The Grayzone’s Aaron Maté -- who has reported extensively on the OPCW’s Syria cover-up scandal -- is "the most prolific spreader of disinformation" about Syria among a "network" of "conspiracy theorists."

Aaron called Guardian reporter Mark Townsend on the phone to ask him to substantiate these defamatory claims, and why he didn’t reach out before printing them.

5. SHALLOW - DEEP

We go about our daily lives without giving it much thought. In the morning, we wake up to the alarm on our smartphones, turn on the tap, wash our faces with the water that comes out, and brush our teeth. We eat breakfast heated in the microwave, oven, or on the stove, and then we take the train or drive to work or school.

If we don't pay attention, the day goes by without us feeling anything special. But this is not the norm. We are just standing on top of the layers of history that our predecessors have gradually accumulated through their wisdom and effort. And we are only part of the layer that the next generation and the generation after that will stand on.

This work imitates the accumulation of such invisible history in sound. The sounds don't build up, just five mundane five-minute drones, but if you pay attention, you'll notice that they change little by little. I believe that to observe this is to see the invisible history and to get to the essence of things.

What would it look like to be on the wrong side of history? If there were a mass atrocity taking place presently which history will end up judging harshly in the future, and you were supporting the wrong side of it, what signs might you expect to see that that's the case?

Well, I imagine you'd probably be seeing terrible news about what's happening coming out every day that under normal circumstances would cause you to cry out in horror, but then you'd be getting a bunch of words and stories from your side explaining why those self-evidently terrible things are actually not what they appear to be.

In other words, the White House is worried that a brief pause in the Israeli massacre of civilians in Gaza will allow journalists to report the truth about the Israeli massacre of civilians in Gaza, because it will hurt the information interests of the US and Israel. They are worried that the public will become more aware of facts and truth.

On Therapy, his gripping third collection for Imprec, Alexandre Bazin creates concise melodic electro-acoustic environments with ripping timbres, deep staccato sequences and a dramatic immediacy. Elements of classical, minimal techno, modular-ambient and drone music permeate this aptly titled album, Therapy, from Alexandre Bazin.

Bazin himself describes this album as "new experimental electronic music." Melodic progression, pulse and timbre play key roles in his delicately crafted work. Saturation and feedback permeate the sonic atmosphere allowing new fragments to emerge creating new melodies and tonal colors.

Bazin's sound suggests the presence of electric guitars, orchestras and acoustic instruments which are also present on this album. All but the first two tracks of therapy include acoustic instruments carefully placed in the mix.
