Inspired by Karnak - a place of mystery; lost ancient technology.

My attempts at finding a home for these were unsuccessful - admittedly these are hard to place and from a different mold, but oh well, finished music.  

three tracks; mixed vibes:

Error - this is more a driven tech sound pushed by the rhythmic bass and has a dark and warm undertone

Taji - a bit more of a grooving track with undulating sections using a combination of different synths. The break adds some nice contrast

The Miraculous - this is slightly downtempo area at 105 bpm but has a lot of layers that give the track an atmospheric vibe as well. This track has more emotion by comparison to the other two.

Just a different take on some leftfield house.  There is some East Coast influence in the sounds and use of vintage vocal cuts.  Over all a grooving track with a bouncing tom bass.

Algorhythm

A deep tune that fits more into the Melodic House or Techno category.  It has some nice melodies filling in the space.  It is an introspective type sound with a touch of melancholy.  Vocals are mine, but could have turned out a little better; wasn't sure how to process them to meet the desired feel.

Life's Been Good

Admittedly the melody is sort of weird, but keeping that discipline to just move forward and finish music.  That aside, it still retains a melodic sound and darker overtones.  Vocals are mine and processed for the result.  Tried to fix the heavy kick in my DIY master so hopefully it's not too overbearing.

The Darkness Within

Some leftfield style techno with a bit of a driving, dark sound.  Includes some cool found sounds sampled in as well.  Vocal sample was from Splice.  

Artwork credit goes to the original owner.  All I did was tweak it a bit.

Setbacks

The track is inspired by the film "The Great Dictator."  I chopped up sections from the speech that the great Charlie Chaplin's character made and implemented it throughout the track.  The sound is a bit melancholic, a bit ominous and a bit introspective.  The tonal balance is mostly up front and present. I made this track about two years ago and decided to revisit it due today's current state of affairs. I decided to remix the project from scratch.

The artwork belongs to the original artist.  I snagged it from a New Scientist article titled "True nature of consciousness: Solving the biggest mystery of your mind.
