In der zweiten Audio-Folge unseres neuen Blogs, urbanana mag, stellt euch unser Autor Friedemann "acting in concert" aus dem Ruhrgebiet vor. Die Initiative aus Witten bricht set 2017 etablierte Hierarchien auf und bietet eine Bühne und einen sicheren Raum u.a. für Künstler:innen, die sich nicht als cis*-Menschen identifizieren oder nicht weiß sind. 

Für Sound of urbanana, spricht Friedemann mit Künstler:in Andras_2020 sowie Initiator:in Sandy Brede.

In the second audio episode of our new blog, urbanana mag, our author Friedemann introduces you to "acting in concert" from the Ruhr area. The initiative from Witten breaks down established hierarchies and offers a stage and a de-hierarchized space for artists* who do not identify as cis* people or are not white. 

For Sound of urbanana, Friedemann talks to artist* Andras_2020 and Sandy Brede, who launched the project in 2017.

The old fire station in Cologne - This is where our author Ole met the songwriter, musician, illustrator and visual artist Stefanie Schrank for a coffee. Stefanie feels at home in the Agnesviertel, the so-called writers' quarter of the cathedral city. In a devoted portrait, she tells Ole in the courtyard of the cultural centre of the old fire station how she came to Cologne from southern Germany almost 20 years ago as a founding member of the former school and indie band Locas in Love. She explains, how bands like the Smashing Pumpkins inspired her to pick up the bass and make music herself, which wasn't so easy as a woman back then.
