BEAMS is the electronic project of multi-instrumentalist and producer Zack Kantor from New York. His single for CSCN fuses lo-fi pop with crisp, dark dance melodies to create a contemporary collage of sounds. As we hear a single melodic phrase get looped, warped, delayed, and pitched, it becomes apparent that BEAMS is reconfiguring the pop song structure to unique and successful effect. Kantor is 21 years old.

BEAMS - Feeling That The Feeling's Right

Deep Motion is a slow-burning journey where atmosphere and rhythm dissolve into one continuous emotional current. The track opens with wide, ethereal pads that drift like fog through a neon-lit night, laying a down-tempo ambient foundation that feels both weightless and immersive. As the song unfolds, subtle synthwave textures begin to pulse beneath the surface, gradually guiding the listener into a hypnotic trance state.

At its climax, an airy female voice emerges not as a traditional lead, but as an instrument of emotion—floating above the mix like a distant memory, soft yet commanding. Beneath her, deep synth bass lines crafted from Roland ZENOLOGY sounds add warmth and depth, anchoring the composition while allowing it to breathe. The result is a cinematic fusion of calm and motion, where serenity and forward momentum coexist, making Deep Motion feel less like a song and more like an evolving inner voyage.
