Originally released on the year I was born, 1980. One of my favourite tracks for The King, Mohamed Mounir, an absolute icon of independent Egyptian & Nubian music. Wust El Dayra literally translates into "In the middle of the Circle", which we all are smack in the centre of <3

Remixed to feature as an intro to my #Dawayer Festival set. Dawayer is a gorgeous music festival in the heart of Egypt's Western Desert Oasis of Siwa, and is also the Arabic plural translation for "circles", so it all just made perfect sense!

This set is mostly created with sounds collected from all over the world, in order to add an ethnic feeling to my livesets. 
I did not take time to focus on details or shape the sound too much, so most tracks are yet unfinished and it has a very spontaneous vibe to me. 
Thus I rather consider the set as a "preview" of what might come out soon. Still decided to upload it though, to challenge my terrible lack of musical output;)

Generally recognized as the top DJ on the island of Mykonos, Valeron is definitely one of the longest standing and most omnipresent figures of the ever-shifting local music scene. A stalwart of electronic music scene, Valeron is informed by myriad cultures and traditions both on- and off-stage.

Soon after relocating to Mykonos, he starts releasing tracks that helped register his name in the Deep House and Electronic/Organic genre. This carried him to become a founder of the Bercana Music label and release 2 personal albums, “Amare” & ‘’Aigaio’’. Valeron’s albums introduced a unique combination of traditional Greek instruments with electronic beats.

Every Saturday since 2017, Valeron leads “Scorpios World” at Scorpios Mykonos where he performs live along diverse Greek musicians playing instruments such as the Clarinet, Kaval, Ney, Bouzouki, Cretan Lyra, Saz, Oud, Santur, Kanun and many more. With lots of originals and remixes that had climb on top of Beatport charts, on June 2019 he released his third personal album ‘’World’’.
