Zum Jahresende wirft unser Seemann ROLANDSON noch eine vorfroydige Bottle ins Wasser, in der Hoffnung, dass diese in unserem Mutterhafen an Land gezogen wird, um mit uns zu schunkeln. Pünktlich zum Jahresende - und wie sollte es anders sein - ist diese Bottle übrigens #22 

Buddha chillt ohne Budda aufm Kudda und fährt nach KarlKuddah ... und es schunkelt und rumpelt in den leeren Fässern .. weil alles is in die buddel drin - Gin macht Sinn. 

Es wird richtig gemunkelt - bald wird dazu geschunkelt...

Rolandson - Bottle #22

It was almost mid-November and the forest had become very quiet.  Migrant birds had flown away to the south and the bats and hedgehogs had already started their hibernation, despite the unusually mild temperatures this autumn.  Falke (the 10-year old witch apprentice) was walking alone in the forest.  Hekske (the little witch) had gone to a witch coven near the Black Sea and Lalita (the tree nymph) was in a deep meditative communication session with the little oak tree.  As trees have a very slow way of communicating these sessions can take days.  All of a sudden, Falke felt very lonely.  She started to think back about her life when she was still a human being, which stopped abruptly 1,5 years ago when she lost both her drug-addicted parents.  That fateful day, she followed her deeper instincts, ran into the forest where she got a warm welcome by Hekske, the little witch.  After that, Falke blossomed open and had a very happy time in the witch’s forest, learning fast about secret recipes and spells, while never complaining about the rain or the winter cold.  Yet, on this sunny but windy November day, she suddenly missed her parents and quietly wept in a remote corner of the forest, her tears rolling down her cheeks.
Then she got spotted by Bob The Owl, her trusted friend.  Bob landed on her shoulder.  At first he did nothing, but after a while he started to play gently with Falke’s long blond hair and nibbled softly on her right earlobe. Falke started to notice her sweet friend.  She took him on her hand and gave him a little kiss.  After that she caressed his soft down feathers and massaged his neck (which he really loves).  Then she took Bob in the palm of her hand and gently massaged his belly, while the little owl closed his eyes from pure joy.  Falke smiled and gave him another tender kiss at the end of the massage session.  Then she walked back to the glade with Bob on her shoulder.  On the way she chatted and played with a couple of jays and a family of squirrels.  Slowly, Falke became as ebullient and playful as ever.
Shortly after arriving in the glade, she heard a familiar yell from above.  Falke’s heart skipped a beat when she saw Hekske flying in the air.  The little witch gently touched down on the soft moss and gave a long welcome hug to Falke.  Hekske was covered with dust and her hair was a real mess after the long flight back from the Crimea.  She urgently needed a bath, and both girls quickly went to the nymph’s pond where they slipped out of their long white dresses and waded into the refreshing water.  Falke was in a really frisky mood and the witches had lots of fun splashing water at each other, giggling non-stop.  Soon a family of beavers joined the fun, while Bob The Owl watched the endearing spectacle from a twig of a nearby tree, smiling and having a tear in his eyes at the same time…

Over the past 8 years or so we have had, along with Theo Parrish, the honour of playing the monthly residencies at a small basement club in Shoreditch, London with an impeccable sound system. After 20 years of operation, it was time to move on and close the doors on a place that has a lot to answer for in shaping modern club culture. To say this space along with the owner Ade’s singular vision was fundamental in our personal musical formation would be a complete understatement. 
 
On the day of their closing, manager Charlotte asked us if we’d put the system through its paces for the last time that the club would be open to the public. We set about packing the anthems from our respective residencies and on the night once the people were through the doors played 2 records in turn for the rest of the dance. We included tracks of our own and of friends that were made with that place in mind. Records like Daphni - Ye Ye and Four Tet - Pinnacles were made to first be played at Kieran’s nights there, and the Floating Points - Vacuum EP was born out of the CD-R night at the club, and its launch party was the trigger for Sam’s monthly residency.
 
We set this recording up just before the start of the night and unfortunately it distorts in places, but we make no apology for how joyfully noisy people get! The vibe in the room this night was typical of the club on any given night and we hope this recording captures just a fraction of the spirit of a Plastic People night.
 
A massive thank you from us to everyone that has come down to the nights over the years and supported our music there. We are truly humbled to have shared the music we love with people at this place, and your energy in turn has influenced the way we make music on an unfathomable scale. We also thank the bosses Charlotte Kepel and Ade Fakile for inviting us to the club and having faith in us over  these years! All the best for the future!

Psyrob [Robin Bauer] is an artist located near Cologne, one of the german hotspots for electronic dance music. In his early youth he discovered Goa-Trance & Sub-Genres and were fascinated by the deep and hypnotic trance states that this kind of music induce. He found himself in that szene and focused on it. 
Later he opened himself up to all genres because of a spiritual turning point in his life which influence his Sets till today. 
Currently Psyrob focuses on Downtempo and similar genres. His Style is boundless sometimes even abstract. He loves to create live mash-ups by channelling intuitivley the Wisdom of the Cosmos that is within us. His mixes are always deep & from the heart, to reach the listeners Soul. They are often characterized by psychedelic and spiritual storytelling elements to share spiritual messages with his Mixes.

Sometimes a song touches you so deeply that you just need to revisit it.

This is my personal re-interpretation of “Love Like This” by RY X — a track that has always resonated with me.

I wanted to explore its emotion from another angle, keeping the essence but bringing it into a more progressive and atmospheric space.

Not an official release — just something I wanted to share with you here.

Nativocast 001 - Till Noon

Whoa! How did I get here?

Last thing I remember I was sitting in my room and taking a sip of tea. It tasted quite bitter though, now that I think about it. Should I have taken out the ginger earlier? 
But that doesn’t explain how I ended up in the middle of a desert. 
I can’t say that I hate it though. I wanted to take a vacation for quite a while now… 
But I didn’t pack any sunscreen. Or my phone! If I don’t take pictures, no one will believe me what happened.

As I’m walking the land, more and more plants start to occur and the desert magically changes into a steppe. But as the biodiversity grows, so does the feeling of being observed. Was this cactus just moving, or was it its weird shadow? Someone was snickering now, I’m sure of that! – Come out and show yourself! – Less hesitantly than I would have thought the shadow emerges and reveals his slender silhouette. “I am a doob” it says. “Our kind roams these parts since the dawn of time and it doesn’t happen often that we get visitors.” 

As we wander for a bit and talk, he tells me about their kind and their culture. It seems these creatures have been here longer than any other species that is known to man, living in complete symbiosis with their surroundings. They tend to the earth and the earth gives back generously, so they don’t know jealousy or greed or suffering. What a nice way to live! 

I might just stay for a little longer and listen to his tales of a palmy life.
