GODDEZZ has enjoyed two years of emitting rave and dance music, where our main influence lies. While attempting to instigate rigorous body movements within people inside club spaces and beyond, we realised that music to wind-down-to is also partial to many people's lives, especially in the current events of our earth. GODDEZZ decided to assemble a project of tranquility, with sonic advisors who we wholeheartedly trust to achieve a formula of escapism and naturally beautiful sounds. Welcome to TARAXIA, a 19 track odyssey of ambient, downtempo, ASMR, a teasing of contemporary classical and above all meditative music.

In TARAXIA, one's mind will have the ability to lock in and exist in a tranquil state. A common reason to enter would be due to your sonic environment becoming noisy, cacophonous, your local electronic devices are demanding copious amounts of your energy, or the beings or buildings around you have began to impose on personal boundaries and you need space to think, or space to escape and feel more free. Another reason would be to simply feed your curiosity by listening to the shimmering beauty this environment beholds.

A seagull flying really high above a big beach on a sunny day with lots of people on the beach that the seagull can see but he doesn't care he is just having a great time soaring above everyone soaking in the sun and sea view and maybe even swooping down to steal an 8 bit chip once in a while if he sees an opportunity but otherwise just flying around absorbing the endlessly glorious vista all around him and possibly even playing chase with another seagull friend also if he sees one of his mates in the sky but otherwise just being happy on his own

Another track with a very loud kick and classic m1 organ as well as classic amen break and classic 303 lots of classics going on in this one which reminds me of when we went to the woods on a particularly vibrant day and flew a kite in a clearing high up in the sky with not a care in the world similar to the seagull this could in some ways be considered part 2 to that track as it is equally as smooth and rolling and flying and simple and fun enjoy thanks x

Hailing from the green pastures of Somerset and currently residing in Bristol, DJ and producer Goldefish has worked over the past few years to refine his sonic palette, emerging to critical acclaim last year after Aphex Twin shared the nostalgic, breaks-driven track ‘Radon’. Shortly after, it was snapped up by Gated Recordings and released on the Passive Pleasure 12”, an acclaimed set of tracks replete with soaring pads, skittering breaks, and sublime bass tied together with an acute sense of playfulness, yet firmly rooted amongst Bristol’s bass heavy lore.

Having played the drums from a young age, rhythm is integral to every aspect of Goldefish’s musical thinking, and this is evident both in his production and selections as a DJ, with percussion often taking centre stage. Playing at clubs including Corsica studios has honed his ear for biscuity blends and unexpected (but not unwelcome) turns, drawn from a deep love of music.

This mix wends its way through the peripheral, forward-thinking sounds of the electronic music left, drawing on the jazz-tinged polyrhythms of Yak, Skee Mask, Yushh, and Mallard, before moving in the second part to the progressively more slamming end of the spectrum, featuring tracks from Objekt, Scratcha DVA, and AYA, finishing with a freaky foray into the speedier stuff from J-ZBEL, Om Unit, and Aphex Twin.

Straight out of the left field, EXC014 is an exercise in breakbeat wizardry from South West DJ and Producer Goldefish. Percussion is at the core of this mix, with Goldefish flitting between classic Jungle breaks, off-kilter Jazz rhythms and the glitchy choppage of IDM - featuring music from Pearson Sound, Proc Fiskal and Aphex Twin.

These elements are central features of his own productions, with debut release - 2019's 'Passive Pleasure' - showing off his affinity for complex, exciting break chops, lush pads and intricate chord progressions. Influences from his eclectic palette are continually present throughout his work and 2020's self-released 'Cames Jook' EP alongside Alicia presents a different vibe, whilst maintaining a distinct Goldefish style. We're hugely looking forward to future releases from him, with several unreleased cuts featuring throughout the mix.
