So this is kinda a throw back for all of us kinda a mix of old and new dnb stuff. We've wanted to do a cover of an older song for a while. Nothing was really coming to us until last Friday when we were a few drinks deep and ended up at a Thai karaoke restaurant at 3AM. This young Thai man was doing an electric guitar cover of “Cocaine" by Eric Clapton, but he wasn’t singing, so we jumped on stage and sang along with him. It must have been in the haze of vodka and pad kee mao that we decided we should cover it as well.

My homie, Josh Taylor, opened me up to the world of writing songs. It's such a scary/vulnerable thing, but I've found it to be just as cathartic and nourishing as letting loose on the dance floor. Can't Hang is one of the first songs I wrote and sang. It came out of me at a time where I wasn't exactly on cloud nine. 

It's been crazy times. These days, I frequently find myself getting overwhelmed, stressed out, or disenchanted about things. It's easy to get negative and divisive, but that's where I think music can be so powerful and important. It brings people together and makes us feel good. That's what this song's about for me.
