Devil Takes Reign

Cats puff their fur, tails in the air, 
pretend they’re giants, but nothing’s there. 
It’s superstition dressed in tech disguise, 
a horror movie priest with frightened eyes.

They watch a horror flick, scream in fright, 
then curse the screen like it’s demon night. 
Call out the priest, splash holy water, 
Ghostbusters roll in, chaos slaughter.

Exorcise the devil from the TV glow, 
when what they need is to think and know. 
Exercise their brain cells, not their fear, 
primitive minds in a modern year.
