Accumulation of vulnerability, collective world of avalanches, this ancient land - ascendance, that so often takes on the countenance of
being in more than one place.

The patterns repeat themselves, adorned in anguish, with a feeling, compelled to vaunt - lustrous arrival in overwhelming lines.

'The Lost Columns' is a deluge of unbroken slashes in Arcadia between Arkhad and KAOSMOS. Arriving at the same place, in the presence of mutual accord.

Industrial / Power Electronics unit SATØRI returns with a new dark and disturbing journey into the very depths of human horror. Using his love of pure noise, harsh synths and brutal percussion, SATØRI has created a dystopian cinematic soundscape in which it would be entirely possible to lose your very soul. While the last two releases concentrated on what could be described as "observations on humanity's ability to drag itself down to its lowest common denominator", this new work focuses on a more localised depravity - that of the lone wolf. An individual who, having no moral compass, has no boundaries to cross.

An overcast autumn afternoon in the forest and a light rain crackles the fallen leaves. The camera, low to the ground, follows behind a pair of well-worn work boots as they approach a rundown shack deep in the undergrowth. As we move closer the air seems to thicken. To the side is what appears to be a shed or garage. Wooden double doors rotten at the base but firmly chained and padlocked. The camera moves to the front and rises to eye level. Hands reach out to undo the locks. For some inescapable reason we know that inside we are going to find pure unadulterated evil.

Step into the shadows of ancient mysticism as Llyn Y Cwn, the maestro of Welsh dark ambient, unveils the mesmerising odyssey that is "Megaliths". A profound exploration of the sacred resonance embedded within stone circles, capturing years of field recordings from the silent and enigmatic monuments that stand as timeless witnesses to the ebb and flow of existence.

Ben Powell has crafted a sonic voyage that mirrors the sacred spaces marked by stoic pillars of rock, each track representing a specific site. Delving deep into the esoteric significance of stone circles, the album portrays these structures not merely as historical relics but as religious ceremonial sites where the veil between our world and the eternal realm becomes tantalisingly thin.

Extracting ambient soundscapes from burial chambers, Ben has utilised convolution reverbs to replicate the ominous ambiance of these ancient spaces. A veteran of stone circle exploration, Ben's decades-long journey has yielded field recordings that capture the haunting whispers of wind and the solemn caws of crows, enveloping the listener in a ghostly atmosphere that transcends the ordinary.

Guided by the wisdom found in Julian Cope's "The Modern Antiquarian" and Aurbrey Burl's "A Guide to the Stone Circles of Britain", Llyn Y Cwn embarks on a sonic pilgrimage across the country, exploring the remote bleakness of these sites. The album transitions from the cramped, gloomy chambers of tombs to the unroofed, wide rings - a journey from darkness to light, from the dead to the living, and from the grave to the sky.

"Megaliths" is a ritual, a sonic séance that beckons listeners to commune with the ancient energies that saturate these sacred circles - an atmospheric descent into the heart of mysterious realms, where the boundaries between the earthly and the spiritual blur into an indistinguishable, haunting atmosphere. Embrace the darkness, and let the stones speak. The journey begins now.

On this episode of F.B.I. Pathology Report we auditory explore the case of Richard Francis Cottingham (born November 25, 1946), better known as the Torso Killer, the New York Ripper & the Times Square Killer. He was convicted for the murder of 18 young women & girls between 1967-1980.

On 2009 (decades after his 5 convictions) he told a journalist that he at least killed 80 women in various regions of U.S., baptizing those murders as "perfect murders", while he personally claims he has killed as many as 100,  by taking them to a remote location, binding, torturing, gagging & stabbing before killing them by asphyxiation or strangulation.

Cottingham is most famously known for the bizarre crime scenes he'd leave behind, from the mutilated bodies of victims, removal of breasts, severed heads and hands to preventing their identification, to the arson of an apartment (along with a body of a victim in it) as part of his attempt to get rid of evidence.

Murders that received further attention (and led to his arrest & conviction) were those who happened across the area of Times Square, which in the 70s was popular for its peep shows & live sex acts.

M.I.A. was created by Raphael Kervella in 2019 in the filthy streets of Brest, west of France. After a first tape "Multiracial Mess" in 2020, followed a series of tapes and CDs including two splits with Bizarre Uproar and a tape "I Love You" on Phage Tapes. It addresses the madness of modern society, mental illness & more. More recently love or more personal topics have been attached. M.I.A. will always be a vehicle towards the neurosis of its creator.

Arriving on the scene in 1993 with their self-titled demo, Yen Pox immediately made their presence known with an ability to create monumental, light devouring soundscapes that transcended all that had come before it.    Proceeding releases, including their debut CD, Blood  Music, 2000's New Dark Age, and the collaborative CD with Troum only solidified their standing and reputation. With Between the Horizon and the Abyss just being their first full length recording in over 15 years, Yen Pox will never be accused of being prolific. After all, with the two members spread out between Indiana and Washington State, creating new material doesn't exactly lend itself to convenience. But on the rare occasion that recordings do arise, it's nothing short of masterful, reminding listeners why they've achieved such notoriety with such a limited discography, and why their recordings are consistently recognized as benchmarks within the dark ambient genre.

Time between releases has been well spent, with the new material taking the early template and expounding upon it greatly, adding layers of industrial churn and structure to the infernal kosmische sprawl they're so adept at creating. And yet throughout its entirety, Between the Horizon and the Abyss is remarkably polished and fluid.  Within its realm, no seconds feel wasted, and every sound feels purposefully placed, even as it moves and flows in perpetual motion; strains of a distant angelic choirs fall beneath a complex array of arcing tones, liquidous, molten textures, & harrowing orchestral shimmer, with fervent masses of malevolent atmospherics billowing forth in glorious detail.

While this technically falls under the banner of dark ambient,  what Yen Pox has managed to create goes far beyond genre specifications and boundaries, crafting a  new benchmark and adding a high water mark to an already stellar discography.

After releasing records on L.I.E.S. and its offspring Russian Torrent Versions labels, Caserta (close to Neaples, Italy) native Domenico Crisci quickly rose to prominence among purveyors of timeless Techno. 
A third record on Eerie cemented his reputation as a careful engineer of effective, crafty dance floor cuts that comfortably sit next to early works of the genre’s pioneers. 
August of 2016 sees Domenico’s sonic determination surprisingly rematerializing on Silent Servant, Regis and James Ruskin’s Jealous God label with a new, strong EP crowning the distinct quality of this limited series. 
Through such particular path Domenico got inspiration to start his own “SUMMA CUM LAUDE” label project, where his most forward thinking works and brand new, surprising talents will have the first chance to get properly published. Domenico himself is inaugurating the label by “The Violinist” EP, including 3 peak-time techno tracks anticipating the strongest emotive intensities, carefully finalized by the valuable experience of a mastering engineer like Matt Colton. 
To visualize Domenico’s particular, straightforward sound, we’ll find the kind intervention of the Neapolitan artist Mariangela Levita.
