Gordon McInnes is from Glasgow and has lived there all of his life. He has been writing and producing music for the past 25 years. Gordon comes from a musical background. His late father was an ardent home producer in his spare time, writing and producing music in the style of New Age and ‘Gregorian Chants’ and has strongly influenced Gordon in his appreciation for the New Age Genre, Enya, Deep Forrest, Enigma. Gordon’s music has been heavily influenced by well known Trance acts such as 'Chicane' ‘Solar Stone’, ‘Blank and Jones’, ‘4-Strings’, ‘Space Brothers’ and ‘Rank 1’ all of which have influenced Gordon’s Trance projects whereby he goes by the alias ‘Goldengate’ which he started as a Trance project back in 2002.

Silver Skies

G O L D E N G A T E - Silver Skies EP (No.16) **OUT NOW!**

This track was 101% spontaneous , I simply created a patch on a Elka Synthex and played 2 simple chords that were recorded in the synth internal sequencer. Synthex was then running tough Hologram Microcosm that was tweaked live throughout the entire recording creating an hypnotic soundscape a pure space travel song that takes you to the next galaxy.

I love music and produce the genre that I love which is Progressive Trance specifically in the style of Trance music from the late 90s to the early 2000s. When I started this project back in the summer of 2002 aged 18 after coming up with numerous names that would suit my style coined as ‘light, airy and melodic Trance’ I settled on the name ‘Goldengate’..
