At 0805 UTC Kirsten called GGR CMT and confirmed she picked Tapio from the liferaft and proceeded to transfer to the carrier DARYA GAYATRI. Tapio in good form and onboard the carrier en route to Asia. Kristen is relieved and resumes racing. GGR wishes to thank the MRCC Cape Town, Capt. Naveen Kumar Mehrotra and the crew of the DARYA GAYATRI for the exemplary coordination of Tapio’s rescue.

A 0805 TU Kirsten a appelé le CMT GGR et a confirmé qu’elle avait récupéré Tapio de son radeau puis effectué son transfert sur le DARYA GAYATRI.Tapio est en forme, à bord du vraquier. Kirsten et soulagée et a repris la course. La GGR souhaite remercier le MRCC Cape Town, le Capitaine Naveen Kumar Mehrotra et l'équipage du DARYA GAYATRI pour l’exemplaire coordination du sauvetage de Tapio.
