Hello! I'm starting a four-part series in which I try to capture the feeling of four special moments of the day through my collection. Sunset, Sunrise, Midnight and Midday. Although each mix will vary in tempo, progression and selection, the series as a whole will tell the story of waking up and not yet wanting to go to bed on a hot summer's day in a country that your imagination takes you to. Gently being eased into a state of trance and living through moments of ecstasy. Kickin' things off with the Sunset Set. Hope you enjoy!

The Adventures of YFN Spinnin' Man // Sunset Set

The second mix of my four-part series. While the sun has set a couple of hours ago, prepare to ride the seemingly endlessness of the night. High energy, high tempo, but underlined with groove-packed basslines to keep that warmth of the sunset alive. Midnight holds a special place as it embodies a sense of illegality, something you shouldn't be doing. Escaping the rigidity of daily routines and responsibilities. Love and lust are intensified during these hours of the night. Dancing becomes a vessel to express a side of yourself that is untouched by daylight. Fear heightens your senses, makes you more aware, gives you shivers. Up until that one song. Adrenaline rushes through your body. Mystery remains unexpected but is now accepted. Liberated from fear. Set me free.

Third one in the series: Sunrise. Almost winding down the night but not without giving midnight a good send-off. Tried to keep it euphoric, fast-paced and dreamy. Spending your last bit of energy before catching a few hours of sleep.

The final mix of the series. Some are maybe still going strong since sunset, some are ready to do it all again and deep dive straight back into it. There's no easing into it with this one. Wanted to add some elements of ambient, break and trance into the mix to set this last one apart from the others in the series, making it quite high in emotions. Title track 'Wave Glide' catches the current with signature low-end sway and percussion-led heat. Channeling the slick charm of early 2000s dance records, filtered through a modern lens, equal parts swing, sweat, and sunstroke. Built for bodies in motion and bass bins under pressure.

'Gypsy Rude Boy' shifts into a playful fusion of influences. Inspired by the iconic organ piano hook of Gypsy Woman, it blends that classic melody with speed garage rhythms and modern production, creating a track that’s both nostalgic and fresh, ready to ignite dancefloors and late-night sessions alike.
