XYZ and When We Dip present the Selectors series, where we give our family of producers an opportunity to display their prowess behind the decks. Expect unreleased material from across the label collective, as well as classic gems and heady grooves from some of the undergrounds finest heads.

The rising Boston-based duo Warung arrived to XYZ in scintillating fashion. Their 2021 collaboration with Enamour made an instant impact, catching the ear of global selectors. Remixes from Mihai Popoviciu & Tantum further propelled the project into classic territory. As we look forward to new music from Warung, they step up to the Selectors decks for a groovy & melodic debut on the series.

As one half of the Mariner + Domingo duo, American artist Chris Domingo has compiled an impressive resume across an eighteen-month stretch. Upon making his debut on Balkan Connection in July of 2020, the Florida resident went on a remarkable run, landing releases via 3rd Avenue, Proton Music, RYNTH, and The Purr. Perhaps his most comfortable landing spot was Madloch's long-standing Sound Avenue imprint, where Mariner + Domingo released ten originals across ten months, none more impactful than ‘Another Life' and ‘Inertia', which earned play and support from Lee Burridge and Sebastien Leger respectively.

Now embarking on his future musical endeavors in solo capacity, Domingo + returns to Sound Avenue & 3rd Avenue with more releases in 2022 & this beautiful mix for the Miami Winter Music Conference.

Agustin imperiale is a Dj and producer from the city of Rosario, Argentina. 24 years. His taste for MUSIC began at a very young age, influenced by his keyboardist father and bands that played at his house, such as Phil Collins, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Michael Jackson, among others. At only 15 YEARS OLD, HE ENTERED THE WORLD OF ELECTRONIC MUSIC AS A CLUBBER. IN 2020 HE TAKES HIS FIRST STEPS AS A DJ AND IN 2021 AS A PRODUCER. A YEAR LATER ALREADY HAS HIS FIRST RELEASE ON THE URUGUAYAN LABEL UY records, he was able to play in other provinces and share a booth with great artists. Dastan means story. As a journeyman of dance music, and a fan of the longer form experience, he’s been obsessed with quality sound and the feeling of being lost in the music. Dastan has been a resident DJ in Washington, D.C. for the last six years, championing residencies in seminal nightclubs Flash & Eighteenth Street Lounge, as well as in the underground and festival circuit. 

For the last two years’ he’s been the Global Journey DJ for Tomorrowland festival in Belgium, as well as finding himself playing globally, from Ibiza to Miami, New York to Burning Man and Berlin. Dastan has been called upon to support alongside some of his own heroes, including Audiofly, Nick Warren, Behrouz, Viken Armen, Holmar, Enamour, Jake the Rapper, Madota, Dee Montero, Nox Vahn, Lunar Plane, Dusky, & Gorje Hewick & Izhevski. Always finding himself on the darker side of deep house/techno his sets dance to a strong middle eastern and tribal flair.

Outside of the DJ performances, Dastan has worked to bring together the music community everywhere he touches. He’s currently curating a live video stream monthly show in D.C., active on two radio shows, and puts out seasonal mixes to help give back constant music to those who can’t attend the live performances.
