I am a huge fan of The Front Bottoms, but this track shows that they're pretty easy to make fun of sometimes. (:
This basically came about when my younger brother started making fun of the lyrical style of The Front Bottoms as I was listening to them all of the time, and he would come up with random lines. One of these lines was "My girlfriend is an atheist, no she doesn't believe in popcorn." I took this joke a few steps further than I probably should have and made a song out of it. Other than the popcorn line, most of the other lyrics were improvised during the singing of this song.

Lyrics:
My girlfriend is an atheist, no she doesn't believe in popcorn
She doesn't believe in popcorn
She says to me,
"Robbie, I'm an atheist, I don't believe in popcorn."
How could you not believe in popcorn? (Almost everyone believes in popcorn)

This reminds me of the time that I got a big roll of paper towels
and stuck them inside of a bucket
and tried to wash them down the drain, oh right down the drain!

And I ask you, "Where did you get that spinning top?"
You said, "I got this spinning top from the doughnut shop"
I said, "Well isn't that a little bit contradictory that you believe in the doughnut shop, but you don't believe in popcorn?!"

Also like this time I stuck my finger right inside your sneaker
to smell the scent that I smell when we cuddle on the floor!
On the hard wood floor!

I also remember the day that you professed your atheism as the day that your father said that he would not approve of our relationship
Because of the time that I bought you a lava lamp from Earthbound
And he said he wouldn't not let his daughter hang out with such a weed head hippie.

And I ask why a lava lamp makes me a weed head hippie
