An attempt at taking a classic rock song and making it sound more electronica. We were in the studio and my song I was working on fit "Woodstock" - so we changed it to that song. 
I would love to work with DJ's to take this song into more of an electronica feel direction... so it can dance... let me know if you hear it.

The Culver EP

Having kicked off a packed summer release schedule of original tracks and remixes last month with ‘Ritual',
following on from the much-lauded ‘Brain Ticker’ last summer, Bristol-based Cousn continue to challenge and
excite with their trademark low-slung analogue-heavy sound. This time around, the duo mark a return to their
FAMLY Records label with the heavy-hitting 'Are You With Us', a weighty, bass-led floor-filler encapsulating
the kind the of music the boys would be playing at festivals like Glastonbury this summer, if such things were
possible.

Reflecting on the release, cousins Alfie and Billy Goffey described how ‘Are You With Us' “has taken a number of
different meanings since we first wrote it but in the current climate of change and uncertainty that we now find
ourselves in, it feels much more like a call to action to rally our generation: keep being creative and don’t be deterred,
as we are the ones who have the power to bring about change.” - Cousn

That defiant passion can be heard right from the get-go as the no-nonsense 'Are You With Us' begins with robust hats
and a pulsing, acid-twinged bassline. The breakbeat rhythm builds dramatically, with the instantly memorable vocals
sung by Billy conjoining on toughened claps and echoing siren samples. Weighty, provocative and powerful: suitable
descriptions for a stunning release that reflects the duo’s mindset following months of lockdown and their desire for
future change.

“All my father sang about is very relevant in our lives politically and socially in Nigeria today. Most of the younger artists still sample his music, they still quote his words, and people always refer to all he sang about. The youths are quite shocked he even addressed all these issues alone in the 70s and the high price he paid for speaking the truth to government.” 

These are the words of legendary Nigerian musician and activist Fela Kuti, words that remain as true as ever over two decades since his untimely death. A pioneer of the Nigerian revolution, his fight against police oppression remains an ongoing conversation in the country, where the campaign to abolish Nigeria’s militant police branch of SARS (Special Anti-Robbery Squad) has accelerated this year. Now Armonica and MoBlack revisit Fela Kuti’s ‘International Thief Thief (I T. T.)’, the record where Fela called out and directly attacked former Nigerian president General Obasanjo after his mother was murdered by the army. Fela used the I.T.T. acronym satirically, knowing it would have been recognised by any Nigerian as representing the International Telephone & Telegraph, the country’s biggest national telecommunications conglomerate. In the song, he also makes accusations against Moshood Abjola, the local CEO of both I.T.T. and Decca Records, who had betrayed Fela to become favourable with the corrupt president. As the fight against systemic corruption continues to be a pressing issue in Nigeria, Armonica & MoBlack’s flawlessly executed and ever respectful remix of ‘International Thief Thief’ brings a powerful and culturally relevant piece of music to the forefront of dance culture in 2020, as they pay homage to the ground-breaking artist that created it.

Theo Nasa makes his debut on Rekids this December with ‘Worldwide Ravers EP’.

The Alien Sound Trax boss, who has previously appeared on the likes of World Unknown, Suara, and UNCAGE, makes his mark on Radio Slave’s imprint with the hard-hitting and distinct ‘Worldwide Ravers EP’.

Deeply infused with the unmistakable sound of the UK, Nasa draws from his broad range of influences for his EP, distilling elements of Jungle, Rave, and Hardcore into his own brand of meticulously crafted, difficult-to-pigeonhole techno. Opener ‘Dubska’, clocking in at over ten minutes long, is a relentless and fast-paced affair, bubbling along at breakneck speed with the help of classic vocal samples, while ‘World Dance (Rinse Out Mix)’ fuses breakbeats and droning bass to create a high energy track that twists and turns at 140bpm. Field recordings of birds in ‘Summertime Raving In London’ sit alongside classic drum kits and emotive chords while living up to its titular character.
