ニューギニア島の妖怪「キンブーヤン」をイメージして楽曲を作成。コヴァべという精霊としても知られる。手持ちの音源では近しい地域のものを使用した。アボリジニの流れが強いようだが、エリア的に遊び心でジャワやバリの楽器も取り入れてみた。また、今回自作のスラップスライムという楽器も用意した気合の入りよう。

今回、こだわり抜いたのは先住民族たちのもつ力強いエネルギー。大地の雄叫びである。アフリカ地方の積分的なポリリズムアプローチやわずかなタイム感のズレ、複数のリズム隊による壮大な合奏を目指した。

また、日本ではお盆の時期に行われることも多い盆踊り。お囃子をリズムパターンに詰め込んだ。とりわけ阿波に古来より伝わる阿波踊りにインスピレーションを得た。日本のお囃子、とりわけ阿波踊りの形態は独特なリズムでなされているが、それを一聴して違和感と感じる方は少ない。つまり音楽はあくまでも集合体でノリが形成されるのであるが、その構成要素は実に多様に富んでいる。いわゆるグルーブ(Groove)は至極興味深い分野であるが、阿波地方ではこれを「ぞめき」(Zomeki)と呼んでいる。

Created a song based on the image of "Kinbuyan", a monster from New Guinea. Also known as the spirit Kovabe. I used the sound sources I had that were from nearby regions. It seems that there is a strong Aboriginal flow, but I also tried to incorporate Javanese and Balinese musical instruments with a sense of playfulness in the area. Also, this time, I prepared an instrument called Slap Slime, which I made myself.

This time, we focused on the powerful energy of the indigenous peoples. It is the roar of the earth. Aiming for an integral polyrhythmic approach from the African region, slight discrepancies in the sense of time, and a magnificent ensemble with multiple rhythm corps.

In Japan, Bon Odori is often performed during the Obon season. Music was packed into the rhythm pattern. In particular, I was inspired by Awa Odori, which has been passed down from ancient times in Awa. Japanese musical accompaniment, especially Awa Odori, has a unique rhythm, but few people feel uncomfortable listening to it. In other words, music is a group of collectives that forms a groove, but its constituent elements are truly diverse. The so-called Groove is an extremely interesting field, and in the Awa region it is called 'Zomeki'.

"One&Half Moon" GolemMilk765 made is Funk and Blues with a modern taste!

First of all, I decided to base this new song on an authentic 12-bar blues structure and its chord work.

For the drums, I used a Roland SPD SX PRO with two extended kick pedals to trigger a selection of kits from my vast collection of BFD drums.

The bass line is played with sadowsky metro MV4 → Avalon U5 settings. I incorporated the typical rhythm pattern of disco bass and funk, with anticipation at the beginning of the beat, and kept the note values ​​tight.

The guitar is a fully customized mustang with wah applied for the rhythm, and the lead channel is an originally created overdrive pedal. Both are connected to a Marshall full valve amp Origin 20H and sent from the DI to the mixer.

YAMAHA's YC61 was the obvious choice for this blues piano. The backing of boogie woogie has been reconstructed into a funk pocket, and the right hand is either voicing for guitar solos or taking solos in rotation.

リリースカットピアノの挙動はヤマハのエレクトリックグランドCP70、CP80のようなADSRを表すと気づき、今回大々的にフィーチャーしました。カラッとした明るいサウンドはイタリアシチリアの赤いオレンジジュースのように、爽やかな酸味。レトロポップ、フレンチポップ、シンセポップ…中田ヤスタカ率いるcapsuleの2012年作品"STEREO WORXXX"、ファッションデザイナーのMEGのアルバムとして制作された2008年の"BEAM"のサウンドを再構築しました。またリズムトラックにはelektron社のdigitaktⅡによるサンプリングシーケンスをあしらいました。80-90年代のゲームミュージック(チップチューン、8bit)のサンプリングや、公式のエクスパンションパックからもらった学校、自然、公共施設の音、これらを巧みに調理しました。(正直ドラムシーケンスだけで曲にしてもよいくらい！)キックやクラップ、ハイハットはroland jupiter-xから直接サンプリングした"本物の"808の音です。

In this new track, I’ve put the spotlight on a release-cut piano sound reminiscent of the Yamaha Electric Grand CP-70 and CP-80—characterized by an ADSR-style response that gives it a distinct bite and decay. The result is a crisp, bright tone—like a splash of Sicilian blood orange juice: vibrant, tangy, and refreshingly sharp.

Sonically, the track draws inspiration from retro pop, French pop, and synth pop. I reimagined the aesthetic of capsule’s 2012 album STEREO WORXXX and MEG’s 2008 album BEAM, which was produced under the direction of Yasutaka Nakata.

For the rhythm track, I used Elektron’s Digitakt II to craft a sampling-based sequence, blending elements of ‘80s and ‘90s video game music (chiptune, 8-bit textures) with environmental sounds—captured from official expansion packs featuring recordings of schools, nature, and public spaces. Honestly, the drum track alone could stand as its own piece!

As a final touch, the kicks, claps, and hi-hats were directly sampled from the Roland Jupiter-X, giving you the authentic sound of a real TR-808.

Sometimes I wonder how much of an explanation I should include.

Even though the sound people hear is everything, if I don't say anything, they won't even be interested.

So, if I were to describe the characteristics of this track to some extent, I would say that the performance was designed with this unique rhythm ensemble.

Drum machines, electric bass, rhythm guitar, funk keys, vocoder, and top tunes, plus fuzzed lead guitar -- these are, of course, elements favored by the great pioneers of black music, and are nothing less than a timeless, authentic tribute to modern R&B.
　
On the other hand, of course, it's a big experiment: where to place the kick, how to rock the hi-hat, how to set the guitar amp, how to crush the bass slap, how rhythmic the keys are, or the voicing of them, how to open up pockets between parts and how to connect them.

For example, bass slap is not a phrase that is easy to imitate. I think this is interesting, so please try copying it, if you are a bassist.

Storytelling and singing are important for lead guitar, so when it's an instrumental piece it can easily become annoying or take too long to talk about, so this time I took inspiration from a few singers.

I created a 70 BPM sequence on Elektron's Digitakt Ⅱ. This was to load a Jupiter-X JX-8P-type pad sound. Later, I got a 25-year-old Fender bass guitar. He had a PJ-type passive bass with the most conventional wiring, and I had wired it up, but I was shocked by the stale, Motown-like sound it produced. It's no wonder so many players crave a dry, crisp vintage bass! It sounds amazing!I remember when I bought it 25 years ago for 58,000 yen. It had a wet, young basswood smell that was different from what I hear now. It had a slimy, unremarkable sound without any real appeal. I hadn't used it in a while, so I gave it some maintenance for the first time in a while and played it...! Am I really allowed to have such a wonderful passive bass in my hands?
