I couldn’t sleep.
The tooth kept pulsing — like a small, insane drum inside my jaw.
At 4:37 a.m. I gave up, sat down, and opened the machine.
Every throb became a beat. Every sting a rhythm.
The sound of the metal in my mouth turned into the bassline.
I recorded the pain before it left me —
and when the track was done, it felt like the tooth had pulled itself out.
Now it’s quiet. Too quiet.
