My latest mixtape "Always On My Mind". I'm musically rediscovering myself so you'll find a lot of genres in this mix. 

It took me about 2 months to prepare this mix. I listened hundreds of songs which lead me to the discover some new sub-genres and and sooo many young talented artists! For me this is one of my finest mixes from the last years.

Special Kind Of Love (Goncie Sunshine Club Remix)

This Portuguese producer has two quite distinctive characters. Also known as Goncie, Gil’s first alias, Simon G. is Pedro’s understated character desperately trying to come out. A bit of lunacy, passion for House Music and Gil’s Deep and Soulful musical roots is the recipe for a medium rare Simon G.

Better known beyond Portuguese borders, Simon G. initiated in 2008 the Night Partners project alongside is long time House mate, Subversive. This mix of two truly different House backgrounds contributed for the project’s uniqueness. After their debut single, Latin Fever Theme (Industry of House, Brazil), managed great success both in Brazil and Northern European countries, they’ve released the contagiously fun and danceable Shake It EP (Pearlicka Records, USA). Simon G., due to his annoying need to criticize its own work decide to remix the track and presented us with the greatly acclaimed Keep Dancin’ Remix, already considered the EP best track, partly due to the fact that it deserved a Video Clip of his own rolled in Lisbon and its outskirts.

When asked about his influences Simon G. smiles and becomes Goncie replying: Louie Vega, Frankie Knuckles, Tony Humphries, Patti Labelle; when asked to reincarnate Simon G. he realizes that probably his main influence is a large pint of polish vodka, but also Joey Negro, Bob Sinclair, David Morales and Erick Morillo. With a strange urge for demonstrating his remixing skills Simon G. is responsible for wrecking fine tunes such as Amarga Project’s The Love (Kaos, Portugal) and Henri Josh’s Riskado (Mercado Paralelo, Brazil) which is to be released in the label’s anniversary compilation. This modern days Jekyll and Hyde is surely a man to keep a close eye on, either because of his uplifting tracks or because his awkward tendency to call himself the Disco Bomber!
