'Through Hey Mama we are imagining the future of how it could be - in positive ways with our emotions in the present. The song pays homage to my motherland of South Sudan and its rich cultural diversity. In it, I reference all the different states and regions with the message that 'nothing is greater than love'. - Emmanuel Jal.

Emmanuel decided to collaborate with young artist Check B after hearing his music online and noticing his unique style and flow. Check B is also a young activist who was wounded as a child in the war and now uses the arts to draw attention to peace and unity in his home country. He sings 'South Sudan is my mother, tribalism has no place, languages don't discriminate, we are all equal, no war, love is our cure.'

Jal wanted to use the collaboration and optimistic nature of the song as a vehicle to showcase the brilliant talent of young people from South Sudan and the beautiful future its people hold in their hands.

Instantly captured by the rhythmic riffs & backing vocals of the record, Gondwana Ke picked the single for the release of the extended play remix pack with cuts from from East Africa's Euggy & SURAJ, Morocco's electronic rockstar Fnx Omar & South Africa's Caiiro & Da Capo!

Here is a story written & narrated by Kenya's Akoth Jumadi on the forthcoming project, Seasons. Weche, originally produced by  Punk Mbedzi & Euggy, loosely translates to issues or troubles in Dholuo. The song is a sort of lamentation of a young woman about her troublesome lover to her parents, friends and all those who care for her.She seeks to be set free from the reigns of this lover who brings only 'Weche' to her and does not uphold the promise to honour their union. Her infectious  lead melodies drives through the drums & horns in the record, backing her rich dholuo & swahili vocals. 

House music producers Frigid Armadillo rework the original record, fitting their exciting synth melodies and signature African drums sequence.

Five years after the first chapter, K.O.D shows his feelings through afro-house to offer an intense follow-up to his album Emotion.

At 32, Simbarashe Kodzai has established himself as an essential icon of Seres Producoes, a label he joined almost 6 years ago. Whether he works under his nickname K.O.D or Afro Wav, the producer shapes afro-house music focused on melodies and vocals, giving the genre a pop dimension accessible to all ears. Clean, fluid and often dreamlike, the sound of K.O.D is based on our common need to convey our thoughts and our emotions, whether positive or negative. Convinced that music is the best vector to pass on this concept, the Zimbabwean 'King of Drums' translates this natural instinct on Emotion 2, exploring different personal feelings related to joy, love, the need for attention or the loss of a loved one.

With this new album coming from the heart, K.O.D brings together his listeners around unifying lyrics, warm African percussions and ethereal synthesizers, reminding in his own way how much human beings like to be listened to. Full of hope, Emotion 2 goes through different states and elegantly adapts the codes of afro-house of course, but also the energy of afro-tek or the deep bass of amapiano. K.O.D also surrounds himself properly with a team of talented guests made of DJ Satelite, Michael King, Kaiya, DJ Galio, Mandisa, Stewie Le Savage or Prudence Mabhena, giving his work a double strength: pleasant for domestic listening and epic for the dance floor.
