SURAJ’s record with Olith Ratego gets another round of remixes and this time round,S.A.M.A award winner,Africa's "Indigo Child", Da Capo, delivers 3 dynamic mixes,each with a different style and taste, from his infamous “Da Capo's Touch” that was debuted on SURAJ’s Boiler Room showcase to a nine minute “Journey Mix" and a special dub mix from the alias "Aquatone!".

This week brings rise to yet another special guest feature which I am truly over the moon to announce! These guys are having quite a busy year so far and we are truly honoured to have them on the show for  Africa Distinct 007.

Hailing from the mighty Durban Kwa-Zulu Natal, I welcome the dynamic electronic music duo known as Kususa - consisting of Kunzima Theology (Joshua Sokweba) and Samurai Yasusa (Mncedi Tshicila). These guys have been making waves not only here in South Africa and Africa, but all over the world with their signature ‘bike’ sounding synth basses and rhythmic drums filling up dance floors worldwide!

Having released on a number of local and international labels, the magic duo continues to gain immense support from industry heavyweights. Their music has been included on a number of times in Black Coffee’s sets as well as other industry giants such as Luciano, Sam Divine and DJEFF just to name a few. 

Being one of the hottest acts right now coming out of South Africa, there is no wonder why the world can't get enough of Kususa.

"BEHIND THESE WALLS EP" is the title of the new package signed Enoo Napa. He no longer needs any presentation but his package contains 3 devastating afro house tracks.
'Behind These Walls' has a long evocative intro featuring percussion with a unique touch, building a very special atmosphere. In the first half of the track the percussion becomes incisive and pounding, bringing the rhythm to a higher level. Instead, in the second half a clever electronic synth strengthens the whole structure until you get a break and an almost frightening restart for mastery of conception and effectiveness.
'The Drummer' has a more rubbery groove that will glue the dancefloor. The percussions are very pressing, very particular is the snare drum melody that structures the whole track. The synth that with arrogance takes over is the glue to a series of magical evolutions composed of strings and choirs, all building an ancestral atmosphere to say the least epic.
'February' has an African groove with a very excited rhythm. The electronic synths that characterize this track look like rotating blades that will lay down all the most challenging dancefloors. From the second half it's all a crescendo of synths and rhythm releasing a crazy energy.
This package is literally a dangerous bomb. You can choose with your eyes closed between the 3 tracks ... the result will be devastating in any case!

We mark 3 years of actively scouting & releasing the best African House music emerging from the continent with its talented artists. We single-handedly selected material for our second collection of sounds called 'Benin', from various artists.

The first part of our 24th release is composed of an afro-house, deep, ancestral, and highlife selection including a Kenyan original, born from a collaboration between the Malkia Band, Foozak, Dylan-S, and former Sarabi bass guitarist Lion Waceke titled, Ukaa. A Gikuyu word that translates to 'Come to me' and in the context of the song, 'Come, let's grow together in peace love, and harmony.'

Sticking to the roots and rhythms, we also pick Lisbon's Studio Bros, 'Ritual' matching closely with Freddy Da Stupid & Team Distant's 'RedZone' and South Africa's S.A.M.A award-winning DJ/Producer Sun-El Musician's 'Random', an upbeat percussion-driven house classic with ear warming guitar riffs and horns feeding an authentic highlife, afro-house direction to the first part of our second various artist's collection.

Benin also highlights our favorite Kususa cut, off the duo's extended play on our catalog and a debut release from TmanSoul, completing side A of the compilation.
