Inspired by ESPN's compilation series of "Jock Jamz" It featured music from the mid-1990s that mainly consisted of classic 1980s and 1990s dance music. It also had some house music, hip-hop & classic disco music. I put a little bit of a twist on it and added variations of modern day music that I feel inspired or was inspired by the time periods music with genre's like Trap, Dubstep, Future Bass and Electro House.

After an intense night with fire and love from PLF we turned down for love with lots of bass heavy music brought to you by Dj GON.
Liquid Love with lady vox and tribal chants will help you decompress and let go all of which is only in your mind. Live in the now. Breath. Be present.

I used two photos of his. 
One of a beautiful tropical mushroom patch on a log and I took a picture of his arm that he took and put it in place of the log. 

The first picture really just struck me with internal beauty.. it resonated in me and reminded me of when I had Ian's ashes in my hands at the lake and I was really ready to just let go of all the pain and leave space for the tide of happiness to just rush in. We just have to let go of that pain. It is equally important to have but to let go. As soon as I felt that resonation of realization come to its exponential humm I instantly saw Ian smiling back at me from the water. 
Biggest. Smile. Ever. 
Second picture is of this man's beautiful bear arm. I love how people would always ask if we were brothers. I was honored. Seeing a part of him leave has made me deeply see a part of myself leave in a way I have never felt before. It inspired me to work harder and do more. It left room for lots of new people to come into my life and I can not thank him enough for this experience. In memory of you. I dedicate this to you.

For me to remember and I want to share it with you.
Once you free something from your mind. It will be free to roam in nature. One day you will see them again. Maybe in the sky. Maybe in yourself. Maybe in a patch of mushrooms. Maybe in the lake. Or even in the same fire that took their organic beings from this planet.
You will meet again.

Recording of my set from Party Liberation Front camp at Transformus XIII / 2016, a regional Burning Man Gathering outside of Asheville. I played a similar set a few weeks earlier using the same tracklisting at Camp Neon 5. 
This is not a live recording as much as I would have liked to do so but for he very first time I was running Pyrotechnics/Lights through Touch OSC/DMXIS/Ableton ;) So I was not going to risk crashing the whole show just to record live. 
This mix is a stepping stone to me as an artist with a Original towards the end.

Dj GON- Transformus XIII Burn Night

Swingy/JukeBox/Drum And Bass mix performed at Hype Operative & BassBunny Productions with Rawtee and also at Party Liberation Front at Transformus

RoadKill Cafe tells a story of a part-time waitress who has a passion for Djing the Gold Ole Jukebox at the cafe on weeknights. During the day she rescues animal. Well you can say this jukeBox queen may seem like a loner typical cat lady but on the weekends she like to go out and DJ as the HYPEST DJ around and goes by Sbass Bunny. 

One night she heard about a crazy Drum and Bass party out in the woods and thought maybe they could use a DJ who ACTUALLY knows how to DJ right? I mean, she is the hypest DJ around.... so she goes out and introduces herself as Sbass Bunny to all these cats out in the woods called " Party Liberation Front " and they loved her. Her driving attitude! Her badass dance moves! and dang look at them Shades! And most of all... her hair made of cats. But this dancefloor diva had no clue that she had cats in her hair... she was covered with them. It wasn't until someone pulled on her scarf that she fell and all the cats began to scream and howl. she couldn't do anything except for run and scream with joy. All everyone could hear was MEOW MEOW MEOW MEOW MEOW and MEOW MEOW MEOW just all this non-step MEOW MEOW MEOW and MEOWing! She danced the night away with all her cats. It was like a dream come true. She had always wanted her cats to come out to a party. No wonder people would look at her silly when she said she was a bunny when all along she had cats in her hair.... she surely was a cat.....
It wasn't till the next day that the waitress was found. Ran over in the road ... she was ran over while happily dancing in the road and lived happily ever after.

This has been one of my most patiently collected mix that was first inspired from a frequent listener of mine from Colorado's mix called "Devine Feminine"

I put together a mix for Ignite and it evolved from there to a mix that I wanted to make that would help inspire and motivate people to activate and feel confident with themselves. Be sexy. Be above it all. Just let go and close your eyes and let the music be the light.
After Transformus I slowly started feeling this light start to ignite from within me. I felt my self transforming to the next level. I felt confident and inspired by my own art for the first time. The same way that this burnt-out light bulb is around a previously burning building finally being recognized for its beauty and photographed by: Mallory Bracken

Pursued by the music industries sinister agents, Dj GON races home aboard a Sbass-ship, custodian of the stolen plans that can save bootys and restore freedom to the airwaves….

Escape of the Gatekeeper's Concubine

A mix I have been playing out this year at many of the east coast Flow Arts Institute's events. This one was specifically recorded at Flashepoint which took place in Stuart Virginia on the same land that the regional Burn " Ignite " takes place. Lots of love and fire in this mix. 
I also typically don't play a whole lot of heavy dubstep but I figured that this mix flowed well with the Spooky and dark Helloween vibe influenced by a good friend of mine.

DJ and producer, GON, is an Ableton Live extraordinaire based out of Richmond, VA, summoning eclectic and energetic environments with seamless transitions and dynamic beats. With an unmatched love for dnb and noticeable influences such as global bass, hip-hop, and world rhythms, he is sure to leave dance enthusiasts and event goers satisfied with his multifaceted and spirited sets. He believes that no genre should be left behind, and translates that love of variety into audio adventures through mind and heart.

Having opened for notoriously impressive artists such as Dieselboy, Infected Mushroom, and ZEE, GON has an admirable oeuvre that reflects his knowledge of and current journey through the worlds of music and composition. His musical creativity has taken many forms, and blossomed with his discovery of Ableton. GON founded Project Chalk in Wilmington, NC, and developed further as a DJ and producer while creating artistic opportunities for local communities and other artists. He eventually connected with the Party Liberation Front and expanded his artistic network up the east coast, relocating to RVA.

In addition to his musical and artistic endeavors, GON is a respected community leader, talented event organizer, responsible and knowledgeable flame effect technician, and dedicated artist and teacher who enjoys combining his talents into unforgettable and exciting experiences for everyone to enjoy. He is the President and Event Liaison for the Party Liberation Foundation Non-Profit, and has seen to the organizations recent growth by spearheading multiple events and fundraisers since early 2018. He is a Theme Camp Organizer for his community at sanctioned regional Burning Man events such as Transformus and Ignite, and has also held leadership positions for large-scale for-profit events such as FLAME Festival, Fahrenheit, and Naughty Snowball. He has shown unwavering support for the LGBTQ+ community, the Black Lives Matter movement, femme inclusion, and trans rights, and is known to include messages of consent culture and indiscriminate empowerment in his mixes.
