The name Gabriel "TheLegend" originated from a kid that has special needs in a clinic setting where Gabriel volunteered for when he was growing up. Gabriel would sing to the child as a therapeutic method to relax him when there was to much stress. That one child created "TheLegend" title for Gabriel due to Gabriel's music. In fact, Gabriel has always been surrounded by young teenagers with special needs. Those teenagers that spent time with Gabriel nicknamed him "TheLegend" because he was the only one out of all the kids in the school that gave them unconditional love. Last but not least, Gabriel held on to the name GabrielTheLegend and abbreviated it to (G.T.L). Which is why many of you have asked, why does Gabriel end his music videos with the same hand gestures? The answer is, Gabriel does his name in sign language to always connect with those who are not able to hear or speak. (ASL)
