With his Pink Sky Retouch, producer Volen Sentir managed to infuse the elegant vibe of the track ‘Nibbana’ with deep emotion.  
By adding elements to the beat and emotive lines from Blade Runner 2049 I wanted to bring my own perspective to the track. Who could forget Sapper Morton saying “… because you’ve never seen a miracle”.

Quickly following up the last, instant sell-out smash, Shir Khan's infamous "Black Jukebox" series hit us with the 12th edition. Introducing anonymous project Aussteiger who gets things bouncing with the Summer house monster, "Bangbao". Lush filter sweeps, twinkling keys and powerful bass are order of the day here as the producer works his magic on one of the sunniest grooves we've heard this year. "Return" keeps that outdoor terrace flavour but plunges us deep into the twilight, tribal drums and deep electronics locking us into its hypnotic recess. Martin Lewis contributes a seriously fun and summery version of "Now That We Found Love", utilizing glorious xylophones and horns throughout the melody and letting it roll out with aplomb. Finally, we get the cheeky "Do It" edit which combines hypnotic congas with funky guitar licks and a sun-burnt, Latin energy to create a sizzling brew of hot dancefloor energy. Great stuff! Phillip Lauer seems to be generating a vast amount of music at present. Every couple of weeks an email will drop into our busy inboxes with a new release or remix from the Tuff City Kids member. His album for Permanent Vacation last year caught our attention with it's zealous melodies and excitable percussion. It was a real feel good affair which can often go amiss. His sensibilities remain similar on his latest release for Futureboogie. It seemed an odd choice of release for both the label and artist, however, after a listen it begins to make perfect sense.

Toy Tonics delivers a surprising new record. A guest appearance from Australian DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist Lancelot.

The kid is on the roll: Most recently, Lancelot’s „Mover“ EP on Waze & Odyssey's 'W&O Street Tracks' got the nod from acts like Bicep („impressive and addictive track“), Paul Woolford („Reminds me of Mood II Swing at their dubby best“) and Mr G. He was invited to play at Boiler Room London and toured across the UK, Europe, United States and Asia. 

His new EP for Toy Tonics is a bit different - a three track collection of dense, eccentric house music. Title track `7AM In The Afternoon’ is a journey paying homage to the witching hour. `Again & Again’ plays tug of war with bassline semitones while `Lorikeets` flutters with warm stereo delayed synths.  

Alongside his Toy Tonics release, this summer Lancelot will also be sharing new material and remixes on Freerange, Ninja Tune’s ´Counter` imprint and W&O Street Tracks.

One UK’s most underrated DJ’s in Bonar Bradberry has long been a respected DJ and producer in his own right on the underground scene. After lying about his age and beginning to play sets at clubs he wasn’t legally old enough to attend it wasn’t long before he began to win residencies at some of his native Birmingham’s hottest nightspots before setting off for Leeds and becoming involved with the notorious Asylum party where he shared a booth with some of the industry’s key figures like Gilles Peterson, Jamie Jones and Ricardo Villalobos.

Since then it has been onwards and upwards for Bradberry, firstly beginning work with 2020 Vision which has now become one of the scenes most respected independent labels before in 2007 starting to produce records himself both as a solo artist and with a series of collaborations with fellow ex-Play Music record store staff such as Paul Woolford and Matt Playford.

Now with a formidable back catalogue of his own including releases on 2020 Vision, Red Music, Future Classic and Under The Shade as well as producing remixes for some of the scenes coolest and most names such as Crazy P and Bernard Fevre. Bonar has quickly become an artist hard to ignore.

His latest release forms our Debut Transmission today and we've grabbed the Spirit Catcher remix of 'Ain't Me' for aural delights, you can check it out below..

Bonar Bradberry - Ain't Me(Spirit Catcher Remix)

Trevino aka Marcus Intalex joins recent Aus signings Recloose and Cassy with his 'Casino' EP. Marcus Intalex is widely known for making ground breaking drum and bass. In 2011 he started the Trevino alias to feed his desire to get back to his roots and rekindle his 4 to the floor spirit. 

This new phase of his career propelled him to move to Berlin where he's continued to develop a hugely impressive discography that’s included releases on Ben Klock's Klockworks and Martyn's 3024.

'Casino' brings together three deftly structured and dance floor focused tracks that blur the boundary between house and techno in true Trevino fashion.

This is a remix I did for Jamie Lloyd, one of Sydney's most talented musician. 
                  The track came out in January 08 on Future Classic, backed up with a Soultourist remix of "You're Out or In?". In other words, it's a Drumpoet release in disguise. The virus keeps spreading ;-)
                  Concerning my remix, I wanted something with more "ooomph" than my previous tracks...judge it for yourself, but I think this one is on a rave tip!

Following off from Rejected’s successful summer they have hooked yet again some fresh new talent, Dutch DJ & Producer Mulder who steps up to take his place on the labels stellar stand of releases.

Hitting off with the A Side we have Rejected’s Head Honcho Voorn stamping his style on the muscular dance floor groover “Natural high”. Accompanying the punchy kick and groovy bass we have a driving melodic rhythmic lead, which will tear down a treat for any dance floor! With its underlying percussive ride and trademark groove it has all the ingredients for a 4x4 floor filler classic.

Meanwhile on side B of the EP we have “Varta”, with its rolling warm bass partnered with a canorous layout of percussion it’sguaranteed a jive. From start to finish this gem has a progressive edge that builds throughout, which makes it a versatile musical tool for any party, at any time! Ooooo yeah

In 1999, Playhouse - the excellent housey sister-label of mighty Klang Elektronik - put out a Bodo Elsel 12” called “Discount Baby.” It’s always stood out in my mind as a high water mark in the Sacred Art of the Groove. Punchy accents and resonant bass layered with trippy vocal loops; it's dubby acid house of the highest order, made by a mysterious German Lego-master, whom the A&R team of Mike Mind and Thomas St. Shindig managed to coax back into activity.
 
It only took Bodo a year to answer Mr. Mind's email, but he eventually delivered three amazing tracks. Haustier revitalizes piano house, Mai is incredible, and Mein Haus is one of the top few all-time expressions of the greatness/meaning of Germany, putting it in the fine company of the Autobahn, Sven Väth and Christmas-Market Schwein. NICE WIBES!!
 
The icing on the cake was that Bodo made it very clear he wanted no part in royalties or any of that business crap...he just wanted 42 copies of the record. We are not sure whether he will want 42 copies of the digital release.
