*How would you describe your sound?*
 
Always danceable, sometimes cheeky, mostly unpolished.
 
*What and who inspires you and influences your sound?* 
 
The sudden impulse I get when I hear a certain sound or sample or melody, which leads the way then into the creative process. A very general thing I guess. 
 
*Can you tell us a little about this mix and what it means to you?*
 
So this is the very first mix I ever did that only consists of my own music (yeah..ok, there's like some edits, but you get what I mean).

I always found it super hard to integrate my own tracks into DJ mixes, never finding the right timing. The mere idea of compiling a mix of 100% home-baked goods was a bit stressful in the beginning, ngl. In the end I have to say I'm quite happy with the result as I feel there's a good flow in the tracklist.

Ele lançou música sob os nomes Kapote e Munk (em sua antiga gravadora Gomma Records). Antes de lançar música orientada para a dança na Toy Tonics, já produziu discos de artistas como Peaches, James Murphy, WhoMadeWho.

Mathias é um colecionador de música apaixonado e adora fazer mixtapes…

Kapote aka Mathias Modica runs  Toy Tonics and Kryptox records with two friends in Germany. Besides finding and producing artists for the label, he also publishes an graphic magazin, designed t shirts and is a keyboarder and producer. He released music under the names Kapote and Munk (on his former label Gomma records). Before releasing dance oriented music on Toy Tonics he  used to produced records with artists such as Peaches, James Murphy, WhoMadeWho, The Rammellzee a.o.on the now sleeping Gomma label. With his stripped-down emotional love for music and kind soul, Leipzig-bound beatsmith and all round top geezer Luvless has been steadily cementing his reputation as one of contemporary house music’s finest.

Luvless is known for his work with Rose Records – a label he started with four other friends back in 2011 – and a smattering of appearances on several other labels. slamming down dusty disco edits as well as athomspheric house belters. Since 2017 he’s been focussing on his new project Velours Records. a vinyl outlet for different avenues of the Luvless sound and guest appearances by friends.

His music has been described as sweet, gentle even, but banging at the same time. It sometimes pays homage to the old Kerry days with extra magic dust sprinkled on top.
