For this 7th edition we invite Arnau Obiols aka Velmondo.
Arnau is a prominent figure of Barcelona's scene for long years, resident of Nitsa / Sala Apolo and also part of the very cool C/C Radio launched last year.
He's a versatile producer with a bunch of solid releases under his belt - alone or with his friends MLIR or Kayyak - on respected labels such as Hivern, Internasjonal,  Local Talk or Compost.
For our edit series , he revisits here an obscure slo-mo acid-ish unclassic bomb from the mid-90's..., enjoy !

Discothèque was the potential hit from the first and last album "Gyspy" by the delicious Babette. This confidential hymn to nightclubbing with its funny and optimistic lyrics was produced by the great Jean-Pierre Massiera and his half-brother Bernard Torelli. Both ruled the French underground disco scene back in time, involved into so many projets like Rockets, Venus Gang, Herman's Rocket or Grand Prix to name a few. Their music still finds an echo today for the disco freaks and a larger audience ! Happy to share with you this readjusted version !

We recently discovered the German collective through their top notch compilation "Slow Cuts EP" made of original new music highly inspired by early 90's stuff, from new jack to obscure instrumental hip hop! Then we investigated their 'Super Sound Global Edits Vol. 1' which brought us to propose them to be featured on our series! As a result, we received this funky tribal progressive house gem! On the A Side "Bolji Zivot" from Kompleks is already a secret anthem for a long time at 20/44, the iconic small club of Belgrade which is a favorite of many dj's around the world (including us)
They reshape here the main theme from cult yugoslavian tv-show from late 80's equally named "Bolji Zivot". Sax galore, relentless house loops, we call it a hit !
On the B Side, LYO takes over with "Drole De Drague", a feverish frenchie-brazilian affair which carries us straight to the lively and colorful shores of Copacabana, Ipanema or Leblon. Inspired lyrics, killer disco breaks, samba infused grooves ; guarantee to make sweat any dancefloors !
Finally, last but not least, LYO closes the deal with the balearic tinged "La Bella Vita" in a more mellow and lazy fashion, perfect for those sun drenched moments. Don't sleep, very limited business as usual !

Here we go folks! A thumbs up to Les Yeux Orange for the 5th release on their topnotch Good Plus imprint. Yet again, they’ve pulled three fancy and obscure edits out of the hat, and right before summer! 
On the A side, let the Italian grandpa' tell you his story of the Continente Nero and enter into the deep savanna with the floor filler "Africa" with its super effective bassline. Surrounded by the wildest animals, let yourself be transported by the mystical Shakuhachi flute ringing through the night ! 
Then we have « Samurai », a crossover song between synth-pop and Hi-NRG à la Bobby Orlando - about the last battle of an ancient Japanese warrior - resulting in a sensual and epic track. Put on your aerobic outfit and dance your socks off! 
On the flip side, « Midnight » will give you goosebumps with its haunting vocals about a monster chasing a freaked out girl! This italo banger will turn the dancefloor into a gloriously cheesy Thriller homage!
