Latest in our line of 'Local Produce' mixes, couldnt be more spot on to describe. 100% by-product of the local scene, Max Galloway has been making the Reading Rooms a major part of his weekends now for a couple of years beginning at Locarno making nods towards northern soul and funk. He's now moved onto running his own night, Jute City Jam sticking to strictly vinyl only funk & disco but pulling in latin and also african flavours.

Mark 'Patty' Paterson has been on the Aberdeen scene for a good few years now starting his very first night 'Everything else sucks' in the Tunnels, he's grown fantastically as a DJ supporting so many huge artists that have passed through the granite city over the years, and having a hand in bookings for the late 'Snafu'. Now running his new night "All Night Passion" he's get toes tapping with a 70's / 80's disco funk and soul vibe.

This time we venture across the big pond to host a mix from an american friend of ours from the motor city, Dretraxx. 
Hosting his body worx night @ Temple Bar in Detroit, Andrew has been giving the revellers a monthly dose of house/disco/funk/soul and anything he thinks will fit for quite some time now. This mix he's done for us straddles house / disco via techno & funk.

2nd in our 'On the Night' series we have Mr David Elders. Playing across Edinburgh & beyond David has been really bringing the funk to club goers. He's been holding down various residencies across Edinburgh and regularly playing at Cabaret Voltaires, Hectors House. 
Bringing us a funky mix of sumptuous cuts. funk soul disco, All Good introduces, Dave Elders at his finest.

Our next mix and first to kick off a heady run of mixes is from our very own local produce, Callum&Addy.
Having only began djing a few years ago, theyve been with us warming up since our b2b w/ the phazed guys in march and have kept building and building.

Next up we have a somewhat of a stalwart of the dundee scene, having been making rooms bounce since starting their 'Going Back to Our Roots' nights many moons ago, BPS and his stage companion Danny Walsh have been providing just enough music from bygone decades past to keep the original generation happy whilst also introducing a whole new generation to what they missed. 
Mixing the old with the new is what they do best, 1.5hrs of fun here.

Hailing from Brighton this guys been on our radar for quite some time and his edits and original tracks have been doing the damage at most of our gigs and parties for the better part of 6 months.... with an absolute pile of gigs flying in now, your probably most definitely gonna see his name pop up a lot more.

When we ask djs to make us a mix we always give them the scope anything over an hour is good, but with this our mans delivered us nearly 2hrs of unadulterated excellence, traversing some early 80's electronic vibes into some disco, house, and beyond.

5 years ago we started our local produce series with local names in mind, since then the series has had nearly 9000 plays in total. 

With the original idea in mind, we want to take the focus back to local people and the residents who are doing bits up from all over. 

To relaunch we're buzzing to have local lad and Van D's wee cuz, Elz.
This guy has been the go to guy for all the home perties and sessions throughout the post lockdown new normal buisiness. With zero club open hes been filling his boots and cutting his teeth playing gaffs, pre lockdoon the man had notched up a few local perties around about Arbroath, well we thought it was about time this lod got his wares oot to tender and banged the drum a little. 

the mix is banging, and perfectly builds in pace, and mood throughout finally hitting a fairly solid last 15 mins of unadulterated "BIG STUFF", with the final tune letting everyone off gently and perfectly.

So we're back with our next addition to the local produce series, and with this one we've taken a look inwards to the City we call home, Dundee. 
During lockdown some DJ's adapted to what was going on turning a shitey situation into something much better, J.Low is one of those people. During lockdown we were treated to weekly livestreams from yir man, playing our some banging house techno bits hed found aswell as some proper crap attempts at necking bevs! 
Hes put together this stomper of a mix coming in at nearly 2 feckin oooooors of some incredible tracks (get yir shazam oot)

Been another few weeks since the last local produce so thought it was about time we gave you something to wrap yir lugs around, this being an absolute belter from doric stalwart, Kev Reid. 

First time i came across Kevvy, was when we came joint first winners in the comp snafu put on for up and coming djs to play wizard fest up north, A FUCKING DECADE AGO!!

10 years on and Kev has been involved in the burgeoning Aberdeen scene ever since, running Majestik alongside other 'donian daddies, Andy Buchan (Rhythm) and Iain Greenhalgh, these guys pretty much paved the way for the incredible terrace / pre party bits that the granite city has become known for!
Ive played a good few parties with Kevvy in Dundee at DDE and can vouch that this guy knows hes tracks.

THE MIX IS A VIBE. 
Starts at funky and gets funkier, as it moves on track after track, some serious sing out loud bits <3
