Who would have thought all those years ago we’d be at mix 100?

But here we are, and what better way to celebrate than with a special recording from Felix Dickinson captured at our first collab party with Paradia as Optick at The Glove That Fits on Friday 13th May.

A true legend of the scene, we’re sure you’re aware that Felix has been there, done that. From partying with Tonka Soundsystem and then putting on many an illegal rave himself with the Slack Soundsysem, to residencies at Glastonbury's Block 9 and everything else in between.

Also a prolific producer, Felix's releases have been a staple on some incredible labels; DFA, Golf Channel, Futureboogie to name a few, whilst recently relaunching his label Ugly Music to the joy of collectors worldwide. Keep an eye out for Felix's next release on June 16th on Ugly Music!

Melbourne’s Fei Pao aka Glenn Ellingsen, the mind and master craftsmen behind @hotwaxsoundsystem has a deep appreciation and love for great music in everything he does, building soundsystems to honestly reproduce what the artist originally intended – a philosophy championed by NYC Loft legend David Mancuso and carried on by Loft party enthusiasts to this day.

Beginning his journey into sound in Bergen, Norway some 10+ years ago before moving to the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong and finally landing in Melbourne in 2018, Glenn’s own sound and worldly curiosities connect people to beautiful moments in time through years of listening, digging and mixing throughout Norway, NYC, Hong Kong and Japan. After being a staple curator in Melbourne’s community radio scene, Adriana’s Tuesday 7-8 slot, Opalakia, was a fertile space for sharing flavours of dance-inflected world music to an eager band of fans, subscribers and listeners. 

Since leaving PBS, Adriana has launched Spasta, her instant classic party which has rapidly garnered a cult audience for its unpretentious, rhapsodic moments in the dancefloor. Spasta, which means ‘to break’ has smashed plates, thrown flowers at live Bouziki players, hosted traditional Pontian dancers and cracked eggs, with traditional Greek food and a daring programme of Australia’s, and the globe’s best record collectors and selectors. It’s a party made for the heads, with all your notions left at the doormat.


In the booth, Adriana is bound by nothing, coasting between traditional and contemporary sounds her sets are a sonic jaunt, touching down on all four corners of the globe on a rollercoaster that excites as much as it surprises.
