Every so often the universe delivers one of those special parties, the ones that stick with you and send shivers down your spine bassline. A few months ago in a brief recess between interstate lockdowns, we had the absolute pleasure of playing the closing set at the Bridge courtyard for our friends at Lovejoy. We woke up at 6am, had a 7/11 coffee and a tequila and headed straight into the rave for a 9am set time(!!!). The pure rapture that ensued thereafter was captured via this recording. We originally weren't going to share it, but as we and our Sydney dance community family are both currently locked down, we thought it would be nice to relive the moment together, from our lounge rooms to yours.

Soundtracking the sunkissed Friday afternoon at Bodies In Alliance, the SannKofa Rhythms founder pleasantly guided an elated crowd through his eclectic record collection, ranging from percussion-driven groovers to soulful latin records & undiscovered soul gems.

DTM Funk at Horst Arts & Music Festival 2022

As Eternal Love, cheeky chappies Fede and Edo are injecting that bit of extra joy into their output that we're all in need of. 

The Milanese duo's digging endeavours aren't confined to one sound or style, you'll find them scouring dusty crates for everything from lovers rock and jazz to Italian dream house and rock music. If they had to put a label on what they play though, they'd term it as SOUL music in all its different shapes and forms.

They've been gathering a healthy following across Europe and beyond through their tasteful sets and lighthearted approach, this year they've hit the UK, Belgium, Spain and South America, to name a few, but up next you'll find them closer to home at Polifonic Festival. The Polifonic link extends to curation too, the guys are also involved with an upcoming VA release, put together with the help of Yu Su, Lipelis and Benedek... Keep your eyes peeled for that. 

On the topic of releases, while Fede and Edo may have spent a lot of time digging and selecting, more recently they've been putting time into production. This August will see the release of their debut EP via firm favourites Planet Trip - trust us this one is a perfect soundtrack for summer.

Now, the pair tell us they tend to opt for the more "home listening" side of their collections when it comes to mixes and radio shows, but on this occasion they're going against the grain with a mix of the kind pop sounds you can expect to hear them playing this summer.

Made up of Balearic, disco, house and all that good stuff to make you move, their 'Shine A Light On' mix is soulful, sun-soaked and best accompanied, as the boys tell us, with a nice glass of cold white wine. Crack open a nice bottle and get stuck in...

Between what we feel and what we think there's a rift that mankind has been trying to bridge for centuries in order to make sense of the vast universe of things that affect us in vastly different ways on a daily basis. A dualism that has been a founding element of the French way of understanding the world around us and nurtured centuries of science and art that we now hold in the highest regard. But music manages to provide us with an amalgamation of both that is quite unique, involving the sensorial, emotional and rational dimensions of our beings by fusing everything in an irresistible flux of energy and steering it collectively is what a DJ does. Gop Cast 086 - RIGO

Hollering from the deep south of New Zealand a sound is pumping through the Earth, all the way through to Europe via Munich, then to Berlin and now its travelling to the UK and beyond. That sound is the Big Beat Manifesto. A sound that Mr. Eden Burns has produced to us over 6 volumes and all pressed to wax via the loving hand of Public Possession. This cross over of addictive club sonics and balearic undertones has seen the likes of Solomun, Jennifer Cardini, Jamie Tiller, Huge DJ Party Alerts, Gerd Janson and more taking various systems worldwide for the test drive of their lives with these sounds. Aside from producing these melodies Eden has deemed himself quite the DJ with Boiler Room(a personal favorite of ours), club and festival appearances galore. For this mix Eden picks some of his favorite club cuts but guides us through an hour which seems to be a summary of a set that could easily go into the 4 hour mark. A fine calling card. We had a quick chat with Eden about what hes been up to a little about the mix:
