6 months after releasing the first episode of its compilation tapes, Lyon-based label Bamboo Shows is about to deliver the second chapter of the series, featuring 14 artists on a 90-minute cassette to promote audio sophrology, 90’s reminiscences, psychedelic atmospheres and tribal breaks.

Once again, head-honcho @erevandj aimed to present a distinct yet complementary vibe on each side, leaving the exotic and ecstatic atmosphere of the BST001 for a more introspective and darker curation.

Including poetic and melancholic productions from Italian Lamusa II, Swedish Golden Ivy, English Wåveshåper (one of the many projects of Greg Hunter), Russian Misha Sultan, Spanish Entten, German Airchina and local talent Vague Imaginaires, the A-Side highlights dreamy new age, delicate neo-folk and ethereal kosmische-kraut, considerably inspired by the 70s-80s wave.

Yet, this gentle path drawn by the A-Side will slowly lead the listener to some more percussive, tribal and dubby materials as the B-Side shows a twisted and wild tension, aroused by gloomy works from Lyon gems Jonquera & HLM38, Venezuelan Bear Bones, Lay Low, German Vector Trancer, Serbian Andria, British Angel Hunt & Lou Venturini, and will perfectly come to an esoteric end with the closing track by Komodo Kolektif.

Concurrently with this limited release of 150 cassettes, the label is reissuing 50 copies of the BST001, Featuring renowned RAMZi, Niklas Wandt, Star Searchers' Spencer Clark, DJ Ungel & DJ Rasputin and local heroes Eiger Drums Propaganda, Christian Coiffure, Jacques Satre or Lastrack.

& also a limited edition-series of black or white T-shirts with artwork from Dima Rabik to celebrate or collaboration with the Russian Artist on this second release.

Originally released on cassette exactly one year ago, though now remastered here for vinyl, D.K expresses his imaginary interpretation of the music used in Vietnam’s ancestral/spiritual possession rituals called 'Hau Dong'. 
It’s a ceremony in 5 parts, whereby spirit mediums dance on each song to honour the mystical goddesses of Forest, Water and Heaven. 
Whilst dancing during these rituals, the Medium's appear to transform themselves into different characters - changing their personalities, as if various spirits have entered their bodies.

Limited edition of 300 copies.

kӣr (@k6r) is the solo production epithet of Bane Jovančević, resident live artist and program manager of Belgrade’s club Drug§tore. His first release Imrali was on Creme Organization, second one Mramorje was released on Yerevan Tapes and third Balčak on Don't DJ's label Disk. By combining traditional and experimental influences in electro-acoustic music, Kӣr creates the sound in which drone-navigated post- industrial logos transgresses into a tribal mythos, in search for the traces of future. The clash of synths and acoustics invoke an audio landscape of Byzantine sacral traditions and Balkan folklore rhythms. Kӣr’s symbolic language (Dimiskija, Imrali, Mramorje, Balčak) layers it up with an ancient temporality and its logic of being that is not past but our own. The basic concept is to challenge conventional and predominant rhythmic structures in music by juxtaposing traditional rhythms with contemporary electronic sound design. The visual imaginary invoked in the sound – that of a forest air, a river, a hum of birds – delivered through the ruthlessness of the machine, insist on an active listening, to all the otherworldly of this world. It is music that hypnotizes, contemplates and raves. And it always dances.
Last two years were very busy, with Electronic Studio Radio Belgrade residency, then composing for a theater play "Stvaranje Čoveka" at one of the leading Serbian theaters "Atelje 212", and with residency in Reykjavik, working on music for conceptual performance "Hai Maei" with local artist Borghildur Indriðadóttir. Next release “Kosidba” is scheduled for spring 2021. on Belgian label “Esitu Records”

On March 5th, Ongehoord is releasing the concluding album of the Deadline Paranoia trilogy; Deadline Paranoia 3/3. The final set of rereleased psychedelic sounds that complete the oeuvre of the 1980s Amsterdam based band. Jeroen Vermandere, the person behind Ongehoord, discovered the band during his thorough search of Dutch cassettes and 1980s cassette culture and presents us this carefully selected triptych, taking the listener on quite a trip. 3/3 starts with a guttural exhalation, a celestial moan, setting the tone of the rest of the album - from there on the hot stickiness of dub oozes into the listener's ears, followed by ancestral percussion, rolling guitar riffs, and the nomadic sounds of the melodica. Deadline Paranoia 3/3 is light-hearted and suffocating all at once; the meditative rhythms cradle you back and forth while an array of peculiar sounds passes by, alluding to the band’s delusional name.The record comes with an inlay presenting the original artwork that Deadline Paranoia used for their cassettes, capturing a dichotomy that is recognizable in their music; a sensitivity towards the spiritual placed alongside anarchic violence. You will be taken on a surreal journey, timeless sounding beats are accompanied by wailing instruments, the atmosphere is thick and heavy with smoke.
