'This Christmas' is set onboard Birmingham's iconic number 50 bus route one snowy Christmas Eve after some last minute shopping and a trip to the German market for a bratwurst and some merriment. 

With a daysaver in hand and a gluhwein-induced warm fuzzy feeling, Goodnight Berlin take you with them for a Christmas Eve pub crawl. 

A snow-filled musical adventure that takes you on the number 50 from Moor Street, stopping off in Digbeth and Moseley before arriving in Kings Heath at the Hare and Hounds for a night of drinking and dancing. 

‘This Christmas’ is a love letter to Birmingham penned in a Christmas card, celebrating the city in all its snow-coated Christmas glory.

Having been brought up on a musical diet of Tamla Motown and The Beatles, it was inevitable that at some point Goodnight Berlin would try to emulate that sweet melodic Detroit sound.

The result is ‘Easy on Me’ and whilst it sounds more Beautiful South than The Supremes it’s a summer breeze of a track about the will they / won’t they part at the start of a relationship.

One Thing at a Time is a song about grief. It's about being powerless to do anything but stand and watch as your whole world is burning down around you. It's about hoping that everything will go back to normal and coming to terms with the fact that it never will. It's about realising things will get easier but all you can do is take it one day at a time, one thing at a time. It's a song about losing my Dad who slipped away one sunny autumnal morning on the 18th October 2011.
