Something mystical surrounds this young and very talented musician that emerged from zurich techno scene in the past few years. It has been told that he was forced by his father to play the 303 at a tender age of three years, that at nights, he had to lay down his head to CV to MIDI converter instead of a pillow. Rumours are afloat, that his biggest fan is Ark (Perlon, Karat, Circus), that he produces Hip Hop beats for Rashaad Newsome’s interdisciplinary Art in New York and that MRZ’ tracks are played regularly at clubs worldwide. We can’t tell. It’s what we have been told… But what we can tell is, that he has blown our mind live and with the music he has released on Nice Try Records and Unoiki in Berlin: funky, funny, sonically unique, driving techno and house music. And this is exactly what you can expect.
