Girls from Chicago are different. I know a few. I call them my friends. They are tough, resilient, loyal, unapologetic and strong.They are the definition of GRIT true GRIT These are the same girls who have made up over 40,000 young girls who participate in Girls in the Game.&nbsp; On episode two of the Good Seeker, I interview two women who are shaping the lives of young girls in the city of Chicago. Encouraging leadership, health, and physical activity by providing after school and summer programs centered around sports. These girls are equipped with skills that prepare them for life. I recorded this interview on inauguration day January 20th, 2017, and let me tell you, the timing, was too incredible! On this episode of the good Seeker I sit down with Molly Norris, an instructor at Impact Chicago. An organization that is committed to teaching young women and girls self-defense in the effort to stop gender-based violence. In our very open discussion, we talked about the changing landscape of female empowerment, using one's voice in hostile situations, and why all women, no matter race, shape, or creed, deserve every right to be defended.

On this episode of the Good Seeker, I interviewed Brittney Robbins, founder, and CEO of the Gray Matter, an entrepreneurial experience program for African-American high school students in the city of Chicago. Issue and I discussed her personal journey into entrepreneurship, the need for teens in Chicago to have positive programming, and when you say you want to do something, just do it!
