got asked to do a mix for a uk radio station back in like september so i went deep into the east bloc of soundcloud bc i like maybe 3 american edm songs.. got a bunch of songs from ukraine and russia artists, couldnt understand any of the words but the songs sounded cool. nitepunk helped translate some for me and said theres a lot of lyrics about condoms and shitting your pants. anyway i tried to send it in and weird its here on soundcloud and not on the radio

In 2012, when Julio was bored (and probably high), he started messing around with heavily hip-hop inspired track ideas -- mostly quick, one-minute long tracks he’d post to his personal SoundCloud page.

Fans quickly started asking about these experimental tracks -- the concepts, however, never developed into fully-formed tracks, as they were never intended to be officially released.

Over the years, the series has become known as JWLS IS BORED, and its components have developed a cult-like following. Fans notoriously seek JIB tracks as some of the most in-demand unreleased music of its kind.

In anticipation of their debut full-length studio album, GTA wanted to do something special for their diehard, longtime fans. Julio has now developed and completed the JWLS IS BORED concept and GTA is giving it away for free download.

Hey guys - I just wanted to thank every one of my listeners for all of the support in 2016  because I appreciate every one of you (a million plays - god damn!). This album means a lot to me because I've been working on it for like 6 months. Not like I've been sweating out tedious tracks or anything, but I've been having some issues which can make it harder for me to make beats than it was before, so I work with more of a process where I just wait until I make a track which I feel fits the vibe of whichever project/concept I'm putting together. Like "Oddsummer," most these songs all kinda have some kind of personal significance, but I feel like anyone can enjoy them. Also, I'm goanna be doing some cool stuff in 2017 - watch out for me!
